Regularly facilitates Global New Hire Onboarding for the North American offices
Effectively uses the firm's virtual platforms to ensure the learning environment is engaging; working in conjunction with other members of the learning team as needed to keep up with the new features of the virtual platforms
Serves as training lead where project management skills will be required to coordinate efforts and resources within the Professional Development team as part of a larger project team
Works with instructional designers to ensure firm-branded templates are used and that deliverables are reviewed for quality assurance prior to implementation

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance department in Atlanta. The department offers the opportunity for a Senior Staff Accountant to join an innovative and collaborative team focused on supporting general accounting functions of the firm including accounting, finance, tax, audit, treasury, and other functional areas. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the general accounting team and reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and maintain spreadsheets that support recurring journals and prepare journals entries / imports upon request
Process ad hoc and reclass journal entries
Actively participate with month-end closing
Prepare bank reconciliations for various domestic and international bank accounts
Prepare general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations in various currencies
Responsible for monthly and year-end record keeping for certain international offices on the accrual basis
Prepare financial statements for various countries in accordance with IFRS
Support General Accounting team functions
Work with internal and external personnel to improve processes and procedures
Initiate and participate in various projects, as needed, including automation and process improvements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
5+ years of job related experience is preferred
Detail oriented, efficient, and have the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Well developed Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency
Ability to problem solve and communicate with all levels of personnel

Legal Technology Integration: Active in the assessment, benchmarking, and deployment of legal technologies (AI, document automation, contract analysis, e-discovery, and research tools) that leverage the firm's data architecture.
Technology Assessment: May conduct research on legal technology trends and emerging platforms and provide support to pilot programs for practice-specific applications and client-facing technology solutions.
Training & Documentation: Assist the enablement and training teams with instructions and deliverables to attorneys and staff. Maintain thorough documentation of prototypes, experiments, design specifications, and methodologies.
Enterprise-Wide Responsibilities
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate data-related risks, ensuring compliance with legal industry regulations, privacy standards (attorney-client privilege, confidentiality), and security requirements.
Tools and Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that support the data architecture framework, with consideration for legal-specific platforms and vendor relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. JD, MBA, or Master's in Library Science (MLS) strongly preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in business data architecture and data engineering, with demonstrated experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
Systems of Record Expertise: Hands-on experience architecting and integrating data from multiple business systems including:
Marketing systems (CRM, marketing automation, business development platforms)
Financial systems (billing, accounting, financial reporting)
Professional development and learning management systems
Legal practice management systems (matter management, document management, time tracking)
HR and talent management systems
Technical Expertise:
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF)
Strong proficiency in data modeling, design tools, and data engineering practices

A Day in the Life

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will work within a project team to analyze, document, and communicate the user requirements enabled by the Finance technology solutions. This position provides support for end-users, on-going maintenance, and functional know-how. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project/ Business Analysis:
Meet with stakeholders to define and analyze areas for process improvements
Document needs and the proposed solution(s)

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required
