The API Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and other static mechanical equipment in accordance with applicable API codes (e.g., API 510, API 570, API 653). The role ensures the mechanical integrity and safety compliance of assets during operations, turnarounds, and outages. Key Responsibilities: Conduct internal and external inspections of equipment in accordance with API 510, 570, and/or 653 standards. Evaluate the condition and integrity of pressure vessels, piping systems, and aboveground storage tanks. Prepare detailed inspection reports and document findings using digital reporting tools or databases. Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to prioritize inspection tasks. Recommend repair or replacement strategies based on inspection findings. Assist with developing inspection plans and schedules for routine and turnaround inspections. Maintain inspection certifications and stay current with updates to API codes and best practices.
