Job Summary:
The Quality Manager - Design Assurance will lead and manage all quality activities related to the design, development, and transfer of medical devices to manufacturing. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and internal quality system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Design Assurance engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
Develop, implement, and maintain design control procedures, ensuring compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, MDR, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Act as the primary Quality representative on new product development and sustaining engineering projects, ensuring quality is built into the design process.
Oversee the generation and review of design input requirements, design outputs, design reviews, design verification and validation plans and reports.
Manage risk management activities throughout the product lifecycle, including FMEA, hazard analysis, and risk management files.
Ensure the effective transfer of design to manufacturing, including process validation, DHF completeness, and production control plans.
Participate in internal and external audits, including FDA inspections, Notified Body audits, and customer audits.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Design Assurance function and across the Quality Management System.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
Develop and deliver training on design control and quality system processes.
Manage supplier quality activities related to design and development, including supplier qualification and monitoring.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a scientific discipline. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the medical device industry, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role focused on Design Assurance.
Extensive knowledge and practical application of medical device regulations and standards, including FDA 21 CFR Part 820 (QSR), ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
Demonstrated experience with product development, design controls, and design verification/validation methodologies.
Expertise in product risk management and hands on experience developing and maintaining a Product's Risk Management File.
Proven ability to recruit, lead, motivate, and develop a team of quality professionals.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical and regulatory information.
Experience with various quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis).

Job Description
The Optibuild Custom Reagent Technician II
is responsible for performing basic and intermediate bottling, labeling and packaging processes according to established procedures and work instructions. They will work within a team that manages their material inventories, daily production activities and quality documentation related to the production of finished products. This includes the ability plan and generate production orders from customer sales orders within the SAP environment. They must be able to read, understand and complete all packaging documentation including batch records and material requests following standard operating procedures and/or work instructions. They must possess intermediate computer and analytical skills. The Custom Reagent Technician II must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly diverse, team-oriented work environment that requires effective communication and planning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn and understand:
Intermediate bottling techniques.
Intermediate Custom Order processing.
Material inventory management and accountability.
Working within the SAP production system.
Learning basic Automation Production Methods.

Position Summary
The Senior Manager of EMI (Electromechanical Instrumentation) Quality Sustaining Engineering reports to the Global Director of EMI Quality. This role is responsible for planning and execution of Sustaining Engineering activities to keep products in compliance with applicable standards and improve customer experience. This role also assists in developing and maintaining quality assurance programs, policies, procedures, and controls for pre-production supplier qualification, capability development, and manufacturing quality. It ensures product performance and quality meet requirements, standards, and regulations for all BU EMI product platforms.
Sustaining Quality engineers at the EMI plant locations will report directly to the Senior Manager and are under their authority for performance reviews, career development, compensation, hiring, and termination. The Senior Manager also partners with operational or platform team leaders, operating with independence but under oversight from senior quality and regulatory compliance leaders.
Key Responsibilities
This leader will provide input into and support the Director of EMI Quality development of the overall EMI sustaining quality strategy.
This leader will work with the respective BU platform teams when a design change is needed in support of sustaining projects.
This leader will drive the customer facing lens of quality with a focus on instrument performance at install and while in the field.
They will drive teams to deliver on improvements to drive improvement instrument reliability.
This leader will develop quality programs to oversee and foster: process capability, new products supplied component readiness and introduction, product enhancements, material changes, operations quality and supplier quality expert-level leadership and guidance for a dedicated team.
Define and influence a quality culture that enables both rapid transformation of ideas to requirements to products and diligent and deliberate compliance to internal quality management system requirements in design and developing them.
Actively identify improvements to the processes within the QMS to enhance both compliance and quality.
Provide expert-level understanding of qualification and validation, nonconformance control, process capability, risk reduction, and supplier management requirements and how to deploy them in a large-scale and rapidly evolving business.
Provide operations and quality leadership during FDA and notified body site inspections.
Interface with the FDA on Post-Market Activities: site inspections, manufacturing complaints, additional information requests.
Acquire and develop excellent-level leaders and teams to support the EMI mission and actively manage bench-strength and succession planning.
Assess resource needs to align the required level of quality support provided when needed with suitable competencies, including shifting resources between Platforms when appropriate.
Maintain effective design-related quality metrics and define and execute activities to improve performance.
Actively support and demonstrate the BD values in daily work.

Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical field required. Engineering degree strongly preferred.
Master's degree in a technical field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in Quality Assurance and Risk Management
Minimum of three (3) years' experience with electromechanical instrumentation devices
Minimum three (3) years of direct management experience, preferably with managing engineers
Working knowledge of (ISO 14971), and ISO/EC (MDD/MDR, IVDD/IVDR, MDSAP, CMDR, ISO 13485, J-PAL) requirements, Quality Assurance/Control, Statistical analysis, and FDA QSR's (21 CFR Part 820)

Accountabilities:
They will provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems located within hospitals and other healthcare facilities within the territory and in accordance with our customer support agreements, exclusive of DHA/DoD facilities
Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose, service, and resolve issues regarding proprietary hardware and software system components, maintain ownership of the work order, raise issues to the team lead and manager; log, track, and document all work order activity, and be capable of fully supporting all products within the region.
Execute a preventive maintenance program, provide limited cross-functional support for our Sales and Implementation teams, and other support activities as applicable to the role
Demonstrate a moderate use of competency and an appropriate ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
Provide efficient field services to all BD customers in a timely manner, including but not limited to installations, in-servicing, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support
Maintain proper and accurate small parts inventory for the purpose of service and follow approved policies and procedures for inventory controls
Provide accurate and timely documentation that details field activity, expenses, time distribution and other information as required
Continue training and self-development to learn the products and applications of the company for success in the role, advance skillsets, and attend management approved seminars and training sessions to advance to the next level in 2-3 years
Qualifications Required:

Responsibilities:
Perform Sanctioned Party List screening and analysis for customers, vendors, and transactional documents. Screen external business partners, reviewing and communicating results to the regions and escalating results when necessary to the Law Group.

Responsibilities:
Manages the Implementation of CAPAs and the associated action items.
Works with the CAPA Owner to identify project planning resources for defined action items and develop a Targeted Duration Request, as needed.
Initiates action items in TrackWise for planned action items approved in the CAPA.
Supports Action Owners with action item completion and summaries.
Supports CAPA Owners with the Implementation Summaries and/or Extension Requests.
Works with the CAPA Owner to develop and finalize the VOE Plan
Ensures CAPA phases are approved by the defined due date in TrackWise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Experience in medical device industry required
Minimum 8 years experience in technical Quality Engineering space
Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

The Director of Regulatory Affairs reports directly to the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs. This position is responsible for supporting MMS Infusion products consisting of Medical Devices a along with associated Software and Accessories on a global basis from a Regulatory Affairs standpoint. Support will consist of new product development, sustaining, and end of life activities. The Director will oversee the hiring, training, and career development of their reports.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop direct report associates to ensure regulatory compliance
Problem solve and escalate regulatory and compliance issues to senior management as vital
Provide effective leadership and team development, effective communication, and quick responses to customers
Drive continuous improvement in internal processes and customer satisfaction
Identify, develop, and mentor impactful regulatory talent
Author and organize regulatory submission content (510(k), Technical Files, etc.)
Develop and implement global regulatory strategy for MMS Dispensing Medical Device and non-Medical device products and software
Lead regulatory effort to comply with new and existing regulations (e.g., FDA Medical Device Regulations, EU-MDR)
Support the monitoring, interpreting, and implementing of current and new regulatory requirements and international standards for U.S., EU., and RoW
Assure that QMS requirements are followed and executed consistently from RA perspective
Oversee efforts for Technical File creation and remediation, collaborating with cross-functional teams for required content
Support regulatory impact assessments for change controls and other RA/QA items from a review and approve level
Assists in preparing, auditing, editing, and publishing registration documentation, as needed
Support business export control (BEC) listing of product for release globally per RA requirements
Support the review and approval of product labeling, promotional, and advertising materials as needed
Performs other duties and assignments as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in RA, QA, engineering, or other science related discipline
Advanced degree (e.g. MS, PhD) preferred
RAPS RAC certification preferred
Minimum of 10 years of directly related Regulatory Affairs experience in medical devices and/or in vitro diagnostic field
Minimum of 7 years of personnel management (direct report) experience including performance evaluations/improvement, and career development
Software experience including SaMD/SiMD is a plus
Regulatory and Quality Information Management systems such as SAP, RIM, or related systems
Digital literacy MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
Project Management experience
Knowledge of global Regulatory Affairs requirements, regulations and standards
Experience authoring regulatory submissions (US and Global)
Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task disparate projects
Ability to represent Regulatory Affairs in multiple environments (e.g. Marketing, R&D, and compliance) and work with all levels of personnel, including VP/GM
Ability to partner with cross-functional colleagues to identify opportunities for regulatory innovation
Read, analyze, and interpret regulatory literature and documents and effectively communicate information to peers and management
Ability to work within a team environment and independently with minimum supervision
Identify and communicate risks and mitigations associated with global regulatory strategies to cross-functional collaborators and act upon these items appropriately as an RA member
Demonstrated leadership courage through openness to diverse views, candor in assessing and articulating difficult positions, and willingness to make changes when needed
Ability to travel globally up to 10% of the time

Responsible for defining and designing secure, multi-tenant SaaS applications at BD with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM). Acts as principal architectural advisor with IAM leadership. The Sr. Staff Software Engineer acts as a principal architectural and technical advisor, collaborating with experienced and opinionated engineers across the division to continuously evolve product architecture in alignment with business goals. This role demands a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and strong leadership in architectural decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable, secure IAM solutions, including identity federation, SSO, user lifecycle management, and policy-based access control.
Define and evolve architecture for multi-tenant SaaS applications using microservices, event-driven, and cell-based paradigms.
Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud-native systems aligned with business and product strategy.
Lead architectural initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations to guide platform evolution.
Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to refine product vision and ensure architectural alignment.
Mentor developers and foster a culture of technical excellence and architectural best practices.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure simplicity, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
Continuously assess existing systems against best practices and drive improvements.
Ensure seamless system integration, performance optimization, and scalability across distributed services.
Promote architectural community development and contribute to shared knowledge and paved paths.
Architecture Skills:
Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and its principles. Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles, such as SOLID principles and the Single Responsibility Principle.
Strong experience in designing RESTful APIs.
Understanding of Cell-based architecture and its benefits, such as scalability, resilience, and simplicity.
Experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and its patterns, such as publish-subscribe, message queuing, and event sourcing.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and its patterns, such as service discovery, API gateways, and service meshes.
Experience designing scalable identity and modern authorization systems, including policy-based access controlusing frameworks like Casbin, OPA, or similar.

Exposure to SPIFFE/SPIRE for secure service identity and workload authentication is a plus.
Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis.
Strong grasp of DevOps practices: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing.
Experience with data storage and retrieval: relational and NoSQL databases.
Exposure to big data technologies: Spark, Hive, EMR, EMR Serverless, KDA.
Proficiency in C#, .NET, Golang, and frontend frameworks like JavaScript, Angular, React.
Educational Requirements:
