Timothy S. Jenks has served as NeoPhotonics’ President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of NeoPhotonics’ board of directors since April 1998. From November 2002 until March 2003, Mr. Jenks served as Chief Executive Officer and on the board of directors of NanoGram Devices Corporation, a medical device battery company that we spun out and that was acquired by Greatbatch Technologies in 2004. From 1985 until 1998, Mr. Jenks served in several positions of increasing responsibility at Raychem Corporation, a materials engineering company acquired by Tyco Electronics Ltd. in 1998, including Vice President and General Manager of the company’s electrical products division. Mr. Jenks is a former naval officer, and holds a master of business administration degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a master of science degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and marine engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Dr. Raymond Cheung has served as NeoPhotonics’ Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since November 2008 and previously served as NeoPhotonics’ Vice President of Research and Development in NeoPhotonics (China) Co., Ltd. from September 2007 to October 2008 and Vice President of Product Engineering in NeoPhotonics (China) Co., Ltd. from June 2007 to August 2007. Dr. Cheung has also held various senior technical, operations and management positions with Hong Kong Applied Science & Technology Research Institute and Philips Semiconductors. Dr. Cheung holds a Ph.D. in materials and mechanics from Cambridge University (UK) and a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering from King’s College London (UK).
