This is a full-time position in a 24x7 operations environment, subject to on-call, nights, alternating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Accelerate your career with our 6-month training program that begins with a one-week orientation at our Fort Worth headquarters, where you'll immerse yourself in BNSF culture and connect with industry leaders.
Next, spend two non-consecutive months at our Technical Training Center in Overland Park to sharpen your technical and personnel management skills. During this time, we'll focus on developing you as a safety and operations leader:
* The safety leader phase will provide you with knowledge of operating and safety rules. You'll then receive on-the-job training where you'll observe and learn from train crews in the field, strengthening the knowledge gained in the classroom. This position requires that all EFLS must obtain their rules qualification by week 12 of the 26-week training program.
* The operations leader phase will teach you the program and leadership skills needed to successfully navigate on-the-job training at your assigned training location for the remainder of the program.
By the end of the program, you'll have gained valuable technical skills and leadership abilities that will propel your career forward.
Travel and Relocation is required for this program, Trainees must be flexible with their location, as they could be moved depending on business needs. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Key responsibilities may include:
Leading safety briefings and ensuring compliance with Federal Railroad Administration and BNSF rules as well as conducting safety meetings, investigate accidents, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Facilitating crew discussions on safety, managing compliance with attendance policies, and conducting operational audits while riding trains.
Assisting crews with personnel paperwork, vacation requests, and providing transportation for timely operations.
Corresponding with customers regarding shipments and planning the movement of cars, locomotives, and crews within terminals in addition to coordinating with various departments to execute the operations plan and provide efficient service.
Implementing policies, supervise employees, and manage daily train and switching operations.
Possess leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Daily work is conducted in a mixed indoor office and outdoor safety-sensitive environment, where working conditions can include diverse and extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet), walking and performing work on uneven surfaces, and working around loud noises, fumes, and heavy/moving machinery. You'll then receive on-the-job training where you'll observe and learn from train crews in the field, strengthening the knowledge gained in the classroom. Efficiently moves product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer. Ensures that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices.
Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork.
Performs all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.

Summary
Create, coordinate and complete shipments of goods between company and clients. Coordinate with off-site logistics locations, suppliers and vendors to meet deadlines and track all shipments. Process orders and ensure shipment schedules are met. May develop and maintain operational reports and complete shipments of goods between company and clients. May act as a point of contact for customer service. Ensures the completion, accuracy, and delivery of transactions for clients. May dispatch requests to transportation providers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs daily activities for an assigned shift or within an assigned area or function.
Adheres to specific warehouse work instructions for receiving, labeling, storing, shipping and value add services as required in accordance to DSV Air & Sea standard policies and procedures.
Meets company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, leadership, and customer service.
Works with the supervisor, warehouse manager and freight forwarding teams to identify areas to improve/enhance overall service to the client.
Unloads inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination. Efficiently stage, stack and load the merchandise in the appropriate areas
Efficiently moves product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer. Ensures that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices.
Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork.
Performs all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
Maintains and organized and orderly desk/office area.

Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions
Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and climb.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
Must be able to stand for several hours per day to perform required job duties as required by the nature of the business that is supported.
Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment with exposure to changing warehouse temperatures.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $17.00 - $22.75 / Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
