Summary: In a fast-paced work environment, the Production Line Operator's (Bakery Mixer) responsibility is to accurately scale and mix all ingredients according to the specified Bill of Materials (BOM). Responsibilities: · Operates scales, meters, mixers, dough hoist, and related equipment in the mixing area. · Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the work area. · Requests the Bill of Materials (BOM) from the Gatekeeper/Lead for the current product in production. · Takes over the required ingredients from the Gatekeeper, ensuring they match the ingredients specified in the BOM. · Mixes the ingredients according to the BOM and approved standard operating procedures (SOPs), recording necessary information, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and legal requirements. Experience: · High school, GED or equivalent. Skills: · One to three months of food manufacturing or packaging experience. · Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts. · Proficiency in spoken, written, and comprehension of English. · Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse individuals in the plant. · Competence in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, policies, and procedures manuals. · Ability to accurately record information and perform basic mathematical calculations in various units of measure. Physical Demands and Work Environment: · Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific Duties And Responsibilities Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Familiar with flat-die threaders planetary machines. Capable of operating machines, performing set-ups, making adjustments, performing hourly checks. Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests Collect data for SPC charts and make necessary calculations to complete and fill out all charting. Lift Pierce Nut stock manually, with hoist or lift truck and positions and secures Pierce Nut stock in feed mechanism. Verifies thread dimensions of Pierce Nuts with specifications using the audit pan to assure that non-conforming work pieces are scraped and/or saved for further analysis by the quality department. Setup: adjust as required, trouble shoot feed system for Pierce Nut stock entering the tapping machine, maintain maximum efficiency and up time of tapping machine.
