Overview This role is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on the Nestlé Solon corporate campus facility's equipment and property structures. The main objective is to ensure heating and plumbing systems function optimally, providing a comfortable environment for employees. The position also supports the design and construction team with onsite projects and offers expertise on local systems. DUTIES: Coordinates preventative and predictive maintenance with maintenance technical group and production planning. Supports daily/weekly/monthly PM assignments, does follow-up and monitors PM schedule. Conducts daily communication meetings with maintenance personnel. Assists with repair, modification, and installation activities with other maintenance personnel. Participates in manpower requirements planning, overtime scheduling, and assists with capacity planning to meet future objectives. Directs and distributes the work for their area of responsibility. Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures Company procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed. Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and the safety policies of Cosma Body Assembly Michigan. Regularly monitors scoreboards to observe where issues are occurring, and that maintenance offers assistance and support to production team members; Responds to Andon based on the escalation process, as required. Monitors and shares KPI results with employees to encourage continuous improvement results. KPI's are monitored through daily methods. KPI results are reviewed regularly using a variety of means, i.e., pre-shift and department meetings, postings and one on ones. Plans and directs the utilization and use of all equipment and manpower to achieve the most effective results. Manpower and equipment utilization are meeting or exceeding expected results/targets. Assists in the development of procedures and methods which improve Safety, Quality, Timing, Cost and Motivation. Assumes the role of the Maintenance/Facilities Manager in their absence. Manages Maintenance Reliability Program ensuring data is entered and maintained in the system. Uses data to determine proactive courses of action. Conducts themselves in a professional manner and treats all others with dignity and respect. Orders materials required for repair, modification, installation, and maintenance of equipment. Abides by CBAM's Purchasing Policy Participates in quotations and follow-up related to new projects. Assigns competent trades and follows up with inter-department requests. Quality issues or concerns within their area of responsibility are dealt with by actively applying root cause analysis, in an effective manner. Participates in the design and/or redesign of new or used equipment. Follows the breakdown escalation process Participates in the development of CBAM's goals and objectives to support the annual business plan. Supports preparation of the budget planning process and takes responsibility to meet the financial targets. Makes decisions in the scope of their responsibilities that are in the best interest of the department, CBAM, Cosma and Magna. Communicates and reports department progress/results on regular operations and on achieving CBAM's goals. Directs and distributes the work for their area of responsibility. Ensures proper documentation of processes, equipment, systems, employee relation issues, investigations, etc. Conducts regular department meetings to communicate safety, quality, timing, cost and motivation information and to promote involvement in issues affecting employees or their work areas. Ensures confidentiality in all matters pertaining to both business and employee relations. Completes payroll activities for employees. Ensures employees are trained or certified, as required and participates in training programs as required. Observes, understands, teaches, coaches and mentors direct reports for enhancement of knowledge, skills and succession planning. Effectively builds and fosters high performing teams by ensuring teamwork within the department. Conducts and/or ensures that all non-conformances to Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations, and applies the appropriate corrective action. Ensures fairness to direct reports and encourages and participates in the Open-Door Resolution Process for employee relation issues. Works cooperatively with Environmental Health & Safety Manager to return employees (STD/Workers Compensation) to work under the Return-to-Work program and ensures the leaders within their area of responsibility monitor employees to ensure they work within their R-T-W plan. Ensures suppliers are performing work safely while in operations work areas/zones when applicable. Complies with, supports and models CBAM's operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook, and Magna's Employee's Charter, Corporate Constitution, and Operational Principles. Complies with relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental programs (e.g. ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures Skilled Trade Techs follow all Company procedures and regulations regarding safety. Conducts themselves in a professional manner. Develops and maintains peer relationships. Keeps work area clean and organized. Other duties as required.
