While attending Notre Dame, he was one of two non-scholarship football players in his freshman class to make the team which later won the Cotton Bowl. After Notre Dame, Silvestro spent two decades inventing products and founding companies in the footwear and sporting goods industries. Looking for a new challenge, he joined fractional jet company, Flight Options, founded by his Notre Dame roommate Kenn Ricci, and oversaw sales. He turned sales around after the dot-com crash, building the company into the industry’s second-ranked player and leaving only after Ricci sold the company to Raytheon. When Ricci reacquired Flight Options in 2008, he returned to the company, this time as CEO. In 2013, Ricci acquired fractional pioneer Flexjet from Bombardier and Silvestro became CEO of Flexjet as well. He is deeply involved in youth and children’s charities and he and his wife, Mary Lynn, adopted two orphaned Rwandan children in addition to raising their own sons.

How did you prepare for the NetJets interview?

Research is Power The Company: Dive deep into the company website, recent news, and social media. Understand their mission, values, and current challenges or successes. The Role: Thoroughly analyze the job description. Identify which of your skills and past experiences align most strongly with the position's requirements. The Interviewer(s): If possible, find out who will be interviewing you. Look them up on LinkedIn or the company website to get a sense of their backgrounds. 2. Practice Your Story Master Common Questions: Prepare compelling answers to typical questions like "Tell me about yourself", "Why are you interested in this position?", or "Describe a time you faced a challenge". STAR Method: Practice answering behavioral questions using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result), ensuring you highlight your skills concretely.

How does your compensation at NetJets compare to the industry average?

My salary compared very well to what I thoght i would earn. While everyone wants to earn more, I am confident that I am in a good range salary wise.

What's the diversity at NetJets like?

Certainly more can be done, but hiring good people is just as important as meeting ethinic metrics
