Main Responsibilities
Responsible for daily administration of the LCTC network/server environment along with project work. Installs, configures, and maintains system hardware/software.
Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues and deploys solutions.
Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications and equipment.
Ensure proper security controls in access, logging, and auditing.
Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.
Assist with developing a disaster recovery, security, back up, and restoration plan.
Implement and administer disaster recovery solutions and perform system failovers to ensure business continuity.
Assist with evaluating new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance.
Accountable for configuring backups, configuring alerts and ensuring backups and alerts are working as designed.
Plans and administers Microsoft licensing, including executing annual true-up to ensure accurate license tracking and compliance.
Participates in weekly on-call rotation for after-hours ITS support-related issues.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree with major course work in Computer Science and five years' work experience related to enterprise level computer system/network administration, management, or support; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by ITS Management.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client/server operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory desired.
