Position Overview:
Field Systems Engineers will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer's equipment as well as participate in working on small engineering projects of various degrees.
Pay: $65,000 - $95,000 per year

Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation.
Qualified entry-level candidates will be considered.
Primary Duties:
Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs & internal service records in a timely manner.
Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals, & system sales.
Emergency call out service on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications:
2 years of management experience.
5+ years of field service experience.
Aptitude in troubleshooting/configuring PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE).
Aptitude in troubleshooting/configuring drives (Siemens, ABB, and Allen Bradley).
Aptitude in troubleshooting/configuring and/or HMI packages is a plus.
Experience in metals processing is strongly preferred.
Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competence in automation products, software, and complementary areas.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and Visio.
Communication skills both written and verbal are required.
Ability to travel 50-70% of the time domestically.

Responsibilities
Design & Implement edge device and endpoint standards. Develop and maintain standard endpoint configurations for Windows OS environments, including hardware specifications, software installations and security settings.
Troubleshooting & Support of Network Edge Devices: Manage and resolve network issues, including low-level application interactions and performance problems at the edge.
Image Management: Create, test, deploy and manage endpoint golden images to ensure consistency across state and federal contract environments.
Software Packaging and Distribution: Package applications for deployment using System Center and future state with MDM across Windows platforms.
Operation System Deployment: Plan, test and deploy new OS versioning, ensuring compatibility with applications and hardware.
Patch Management: Regularly apply security patches and updates to operating systems and applications in Windows environment to maintain compliance and security.
Endpoint Security: Collaborate with SecOps to implement and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus and encryption tools. Provide rapid response to critical vulnerabilities.
Advanced Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and RCA for hardware, software and network issues on Windows OS environment and edge devices.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor endpoint performance and make adjustments to improve user experience and system efficiency. Work with SRE teams to develop monitoring dashboards and system reporting.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensure Windows OS endpoints and edge devices with PCI standards, contract policies, industry standards and regulaltory requirements.
Automation and scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell to streamline endpoint configuration and management tassk such as deployment, patching and montioring for Windows OS environment.
User Training and Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Logistics, Technical Helpdesk and Enrollment Agents on new systems and processes.
Collaborate with other Engineering and Operations Teams: Work closely with other teams including Cloud, SRE, Security, Helpdesk and dev teams to ensure seamless integration and support of endpoint systems across multiple environments.
Participate in an on-call rotation for one week per month to provide support for critical systems outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications
Minimum:
BS Civil Engineer with 6 years of related experience and traffic simulation softwares or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred:
Professional Engineer License
8 years of traffic engineering and ITS experience or related field
Experience with TDOT, TN municipalities, or other state DOT's projects
Experience and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, and various traffic simulation software applications such as: Synchro, VISSIM, TransModeler, and HCS or similar appliations
