Network administrator job description

• Provides Tier 2 IT operations control support using ITSM ticketing system such as BMC Remedy and/or ServiceNow in the form of systems and as a technical generalist that resolves incidents and requests independent of further escalation to dedicated technology SMEs.
• Provides Help Desk ticket escalation support to the Army and DISA for all DODIN-A(NG) and DODIN-A(NG)-S issues above or outside the direct O&M of the RCC-NG, including mobile device support.
• Independently provides advanced level technical interpretation and solutions in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
• Troubleshoots system hardware and software-specific issues using Cisco, Palo Alto, and Microsoft tool sets.
• Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
• Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
• Authors and updates job aids, technical documentation, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of eight years of relevant IT experience including hands-on service desk / Tier 2 support
• Possess the appropriate baseline certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II. (CompTIA Security+ or higher)
• Possess the appropriate computing environment certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II. (IE Cisco or Microsoft Certification)
• An active Secret security clearance.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the network administrator role, is to create and maintain efficient, reliable, and secure network services for BioLegend's worldwide infrastructure. You will manage all activities associated with internet and intranet network services, both wired and wireless, as well as the underlying hardware and software supporting the network infrastructure. Your role will also include the planning, designing, and implementing of network infrastructure solutions in order to meet any future organizational needs.

Essential Functions

Maintains routers, switches, access points, and other network hardware components.Maintains local and remote site wired, wireless, Internet and Intranet networks, and ensures the highest levels of security and stability are maintained to protect BioLegend's assets.Assures audit compliance and procedure quality control through internal and external reviews; proposes and initiates corrective actions; ensures that system resources are in compliance with established policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.Ensures technical issues are properly reported and resolved within established quality service level guidelines using case logging systems. Responds to customer inquiries and takes appropriate action to resolve or route the issue to the appropriate department or person, and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers, vendors, and/or staff involved.Adds, changes, or deletes users and devices on BioLegend networks. Ensures all necessary documentation is obtained and proper authorization is granted for user additions, changes, and deletions.Conducts daily analyses of various reports and documentation of system changes.Conducts evaluations of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment products of vendors; recommends purchases consistent with BioLegend's short and long term objectives.Serves as member of BioLegend's incident response team and provides subject matter expertise during a technology emergency or breach of confidentiality.Establishes and maintains accurate and current information technology policies, procedures, and related documentation, such as installation settings, specifications, diagrams, etc.Provides support for remote BioLegend sites, as required.Supports all areas of the department when assistance is required.Takes responsibility for all network-related projects.Collects data and prepares reports for management, audits, and other personnel.Assesses daily, weekly, and monthly reports and proactively resolves any issues that may arise.Performs duties related to various department functions in the absence of staff members or during overflow situations.Behaves ethically and with integrity; maintains organizational values; upholds ethical principles; respects people; keeps commitments; inspires trust.Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Provider Network Administration is responsible for the accurate and timely validation and maintenance of critical provider information on all claims and provider databases. Staff ensure adherence to business and system requirements of internal customers as it pertains to other provider network management areas, such as provider contracts.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES



Oversees receipt of and coordinates data from the provider network for entry into the plan's provider management system.
Reviews/analyzes data by applying job knowledge and experience to ensure appropriate information has been provided.
Audits loaded provider records for quality and financial accuracy and provides documented feedback.
Assists in configuration issues with Corporate team members.
Assists in training current staff and new hires as necessary.
Conducts or participates in special projects as requested.

Min. 3 years managed care experience
Experience in one or more of the following: Claims, Provider Services, Provider Network Operations, Hospital or Physician Billing, or similar.
Claims processing background including coordination of benefits, subrogation, and/or eligibility criteria.

3+ years Provider Claims and/or Provider Network Administration experience
Experience in Medical Terminology, CPT, ICD-9 codes, etc.
