For this role, we are looking for a Network Engineer with solid experience in cable infrastructure and fiber connectivity solutions, including the design and build out of data centers and optical networks. We are also seeking someone who can use their coding and automation experience to help improve our data center design, construction, and facility operations and processes. Reach out to us if you are eager to innovate and contribute to our mission. **Required Skills:** Network Engineer, Foundation & Support Responsibilities: 1. Support all aspects of data center construction and network deployment including new greenfield sites, collocation build outs, and retrofits 2. Collaborate with network engineering, data center design, and data center connectivity teams to generate network infrastructure design packages and solutions for the deployment teams 3. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the physical infrastructure and design and deployment of the building management system (BMS) and controls network and other general services networks in the data center 4. Partner with our software teams to ensure our Fiber Infrastructure Management tool accurately reflects network infrastructure design intent and captures any infrastructure changes 5. Perform logical network bootstrapping functions to ensure our internal tools reflect network hardware and circuits 6. Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors 7. Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization of our data centers through the use of coding and automation 8. Perform site visits and work cross-functionally with construction, design architects, and contractors to validate cabling infrastructure and network builds according to Meta standards 9. Influence future iterations of data center and network designs to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure and enable scalability 10. Maintain technical reference, process, and training documentation 11. Develop automation and tooling to drive consistency and efficiency in all aspects of network design, deployment, and operations 12. 25% to 40% of travel required based on project demand **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 13. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 14. 7+ years of work experience with designing and deploying large-scale data center network infrastructure 15. Demonstrated knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure including design and installation best practices, industry standards, application and limitations 16. Knowledge of the data center design, construction, and start up/commissioning processes 17. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale data center projects 18. Track record of solving problems, setting strategic direction, and executing tactically 19. Working knowledge of internet networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and optical transport technologies 20. Knowledge of enterprise and provider level network hardware platforms (IP + Optical) 21. Organizational, multitasking, prioritization and communication experience **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 22. Experience working with on-site construction teams and managing contractor and vendor relationships 23. Knowledge of data center facilities management using building management and automation systems 24. In-depth experience with inside/outside plant cable design and dark fiber builds 25.
