We are looking for a client-oriented and competent Network Consultant for our Toronto office who is passionate about delivering on complex projects! You will be a member of our Network Services team on a variety of projects with various clients.
A Day in the Life:Design and implement industry leading network technical solutions by understanding client requirements through your savvy consulting skills, both business and technical Create detailed documentation including conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information Work as a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation Provide guidance to clients on-site and remotely supporting their network infrastructure Work with Architects, Project Managers and Team Leads to ensure projects progress efficiently and in a timely fashion towards successful closure
What You Bring:6+ years of experience in an IT environment with network architecture design and deployment Experience with networking and security Ability to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and training on the implemented systems Ability to perform network assessments and design recommendations Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve network issues Understanding of: - Firewalls: Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD), Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki- Cisco Security: ISE, Umbrella, Anyconnect, Secure Endpoint- TCP/IP, IPSEC Site to Site VPN, Client VPN, NAT, VRF technologies- Cisco IOS and NXOS switches and routers- Layer 2 Technologies such as switching, VLAN, spanning tree- Layer 3 Routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF- Wireless technologies Cisco & Meraki, (Aruba nice to have)- F5 Load Balancers (Nice to have)- Cisco SDWAN (Nice to have)

Salary:The pay we're offering is $31 - $32.74 per hour

Description

+ Supporting Commercial, MA, Medicaid, Medicare and Medicaid Dual Eligible provider contracting of ancillary and ancillary facility providers across all lines of business including preparation of Single Case Agreements.

+ Researching, mailing, receiving, sorting and resolving provider inquiries arising from contract operations.

+ Is responsible for internal communications including working with Provider Network, Contracting and Government Programs staff on contracting efforts

+ Is responsible for internal and some external communications including educating and updating the provider network community regarding their agreements. Most communication, however, will be internal and coordinating with the Leadership and Project Manager associated with the Projects.

Experience Required for Your Success

+ High School Diploma with 4+ years Managed Care Contracting Experience OR 2 year of experience in health insurance/managed care industry handling independent decision making.

+ Bachelor Degree with 1 year business experience, preferred.

+ + Written and verbal communication skills to compose responses to external and internal entities, to educate providers, to compose training materials and procedures, to work across departments to resolve provider issues including claim research.

+ PC proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Knowledge of health care industry, contracts, products, claims processing, preferred.

+ Knowledge of government health care products, preferred.

Network Security Engineer

Scope:

The Network Security Engineer will be supporting a Network Segmentation project. This is part of a larger push to implement security controls within the organization. The first part of this project has been completed (putting hardware infrastructure in place). This is the second phase of the project and the Service Provider will be introducing firewall rules now to separate out the applications, networks, users, etc. Service Provider needs to have logical separation between groups of users, applications, networks, etc. This is a high-visibility project and touches critical enterprise and media/broadcast environments in the company.


Desired Skills:

• Network and firewall experience
• Knowledge in TCP/IP and OSI Model
• Understanding of firewall security and NAT
• Familiarity with Palo Alto preferred, Checkpoint
• Ability to do firewall log analysis
• Knowledge in network routing and switching
• Knowledge in information security best practices
• Use of excel for data analysis
• Windows Active Directory knowledge is a plus
• Understanding of enterprise architecture
• Documentation skills (network diagrams, flow diagrams, etc.)
• Ability to work independently

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze firewall logs and come up with logic for new policies for corp user/server traffic
  • Note : This task is not very hands-on. The resource will not be writing the rules on the firewalls at this time. The resource will be reviewing logs and building the new firewall policy, then pushing this policy out across the enterprise.
• Will be doing firewall log parsing and analysis
• Work with Network Engineer, Information Security, and Risk teams
• Interact with users/user groups to understand their applications/work flow if needed
• Participate in conference calls and project meetings
• Present findings (from firewall log parsing and analysis) to project teams
