This Senior-level Role will provide you with the opportunity to serve as an important Test Resource specializing in ethernet networking, Rockwell/Cisco Networking Technology and Industrial IoT Networks for Rockwell Automation. You will focus on bringing the Connected Enterprise to life through rigorous design and execution of tests that validate, and stress Industrial networks built using Rockwell/Cisco Technology. You will help ensure that developed products are robust, defect-free, meet performance requirements, and are within total quality management standards.

Essential Functions:
Perform routine system testing utilizing existing test collateral and test cases. Report any issues identified and documenting test results for follow-up. Work with the development team to characterize any issues found.
Develop new test collateral and test cases in response to new product or system requirements
Develop knowledge of system testing practices.
Seek and improve knowledge of system test development processes.
Evaluate, challenge, and research possible solutions by looking for input from subject matter experts to ensure fact-based recommendations and decisions are being made during all phases of product development.
Establish a timeline for assigned tasks/projects and is able to report progress.
Can use test tools and methods to ensure full system test coverage is attained.
Conduct informal presentations to small groups regarding specific technical topics.
Stay current and be conversant with the latest networking technologies, industry trends and IT/OT best practices.
Demonstrate curiosity in new technologies & products that could contribute to the Rockwell network offerings. Always developing new skills and refining existing skills.
Summarize and document Test outcomes.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Network/Test Engineering experience.
Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network implementations
Experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting testbeds and test cases.
Expert-level technical background in High-complexity Networking solutions and implementation strategies and understanding of IT and OT convergence.
Background in Test, specifically in testing of ethernet networks and testbed design for ethernet networks.
Experience with network technologies including (STP, VLANs, DTP, VTP, IGMP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, Flex links, ACLs, DLR, PRP, HSR, MRP…)
Experience with Cisco IE/Stratix networking switches and routers.
You have or be able to quickly obtain professional and expert level Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE…) to prove mastery in Cisco technologies.
Experience with Network management software and network diagnostics and utilities.
Experience in Software or Product Development a huge plus.
Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley control products.
Experience in Technical Leadership in a team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Helps define server/network requirements and participates in the development of long-range infrastructure plans. Performs repetitive server maintenance tasks. Works with application software and lines of business end users.
