If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then 4 additional years of related experience is required. 8+ years of IT-related work experience. 5+ years of applicable Network experience and support. Proven experience with Networking, troubleshooting and customer service. Expertise in LAN protocols, technologies, and architecture design. Experience with LAN design, implementation, and management, including deploying LAN solutions for large complex facilities. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Experience with Ekahau or other Wi-Fi site survey and planning tools Capability of installing, configuring, operating, and supporting Cisco and other vendor network equipment and products. In addition, must be capable of determining whether additional measures are required beyond those provided by the infrastructure tools being deployed. Experience with other wireless solutions such as Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Juniper Mist, and Fortinet. Experience performing switch acceptance for new field sites. Experience with site reviews for Cisco networks including circuit capacity, switch types, and IOS. Experience using direct measurements or design documents to advise the organization about infrastructure, reliability, and performance issues. Capability of reading syslog output, sniffer logs, security logs and networking sections of application and operating system logs. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to travel up to 50% for short-term assignments. Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance. Capability of configuring the networking parameters for operating systems and network devices. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Status Green Card holder. Must have lived in the US for the past 5 years. Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years.
