What You'll Need to Have: Combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or professional experience in network infrastructure, cloud engineering, or systems architecture. Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA). Proven ability to design and support cloud network infrastructure, preferably in Microsoft Azure. Deep understanding of Azure networking components, such as virtual networks, network security groups (NSGs), load balancers, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall. Experience translating business and security requirements into practical network and infrastructure designs. Advanced skills in: Network troubleshooting and diagnostics Cloud infrastructure management Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and templates (e.g., ARM, Bicep, or Terraform) Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and connectivity (on-prem to cloud). The Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing and performing the configuring, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting of data networks, personal computers, servers, switches, IP Phones and other communications, to the wide area network. The incumbent works with other MIS employees to solve problems of network operating systems. General supervision is received from a higher-level MIS administrator or a designee, with wide leeway allowed for planning and carrying out the details of the work.
