Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, an effective Senior NetworkEngineer Team Lead will be required to contribute in a variety of manners, including but not limited to:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that support the business requirements of 400+ branch locations including 3 operation centers and one data center.
Executes enterprise network design (functional and technical), planning, and implementation
Coordinate with SecOps to design, implement and support security policies, access controls, and data protection mechanisms
Designing, implementing, testing and maintaining disaster recovery solutions for networking environments, collaborating with cloud engineering where necessary to ensure a robust communications backbone
Working within our Service Cloud ticketing environment to accurately track, prioritize, and manage incidents, service requests, and change management processes.
Work with business units to schedule after hours systems maintenance and independently execute with minimum supervision.
Lead, mentor and provide guidance to junior network administrators
Lead efforts around capacity planning and optimization to ensure efficient network utilization, scalability, and redundancy
Collaborating with vendors and third-party providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, as well as managing vendor relationships.
Maintaining up-to-date documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and enhance team efficiency.
Conducting regular audits and vulnerability assessments alongside the SecOps team to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Mentor team members and serve as a point of escalation for network support requests
Continuously staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to networking and cyber security then proactively applying that knowledge to improve system performance and reliability.
Test and troubleshoot multi-homed, multi-carrier internet BGP failover configurations.
Perform network capacity planning, anticipating future growth needs and recommending infrastructure upgrades or enhancements
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new network hardware and software
Coordinate with network equipment vendors and service providers to resolve issues and ensure the timely delivery of services
Qualifications:
