Summary: Responsible for overseeing network operations and ensuring service levels for data and voice networking equipment and software. This role involves developing standards, procedures, and processes, managing the support of new technologies, network performance and reliability, and defining service level agreements. The Network Operations Manager will lead the daily activities of the network operations center and manage resources and equipment for telecommunications and information processing.
Responsibilities:
Manage network operations and maintain service levels for networking equipment and software, including mainframe equipment, PBX, and network processing devices.
Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the network operations group.
Plan and manage the adoption of new technologies, including wireless, to enhance network performance and reliability.
Define and negotiate service level agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the network operations center.
Plan human resources, equipment arrangements, and electrical power and cable requirements for telecommunications and information processing equipment.
Mentor supervisors, project leaders, and technical staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Report regularly to senior management, including the IT Chief Operating Officer, Director of Network Operations, or Operating Unit IT Executive.
Required skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience, including managing teams responsible for technical service, hardware/software engineering, and support in LAN/WAN and multi-platform environments.
Experience in middle-level management within network operations functions.

Position Summary:
The Junior NetworkEngineer is responsible for helping IQ Fiber deliver the best possible Broadband Internet service to customers in our growing service areas. In this role, the Junior NetworkEngineer assists senior engineers with the configuration, maintenance, and operation of IQ Fiber's core and access networks.
Working closely with senior NetworkEngineers, NOC staff, and field teams, the Junior NetworkEngineer helps troubleshoot network issues, supports customer-impacting events, and participates in network deployments and upgrades by executing established procedures and methods of procedure (MOPs). This role provides hands-on exposure to service provider technologies, including carrier-class network equipment, servers, Wi-Fi devices, and transport provider connectivity.
This is a full-time position that includes participation in an after-hours on-call support program with appropriate training and support. This is an excellent opportunity to build experience in a service provider environment while being mentored by experienced engineers at a cutting-edge, rapidly growing startup.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of IQ Fiber's core and access networks.
Support field engineers in the deployment and expansion of IQ Fiber's state-of-the-art FTTP broadband delivery network.
Appropriately escalate critical network conditions to Technical Operations and Outside Plant staff.
Help configure and maintain network monitoring and alerting tools under guidance from senior team members.
Analyze network performance data and contribute observations or suggestions to help improve network reliability and performance.
Implement approved MOPs (Methods of Procedure) during network maintenance and upgrades, and assist in keeping MOP documentation accurate and up to date based on observed changes and feedback.
Support the deployment and ongoing operation of public Wi-Fi network services.
Assist with the administration and basic maintenance of Linux and Windows servers and related applications.
Assist tier 2 technicians by providing support for residential and business broadband services.
Work with the NOC supervisor and senior engineers to help improve NOC processes, workflows, and documentation.
Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting networking and Wi-Fi issues.
Participate in an on-call rotation alongside senior engineers, with guidance and defined escalation paths.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations and professional development.
Qualifications:
Some experience or exposure in networking or telecommunications, through professional experience, education, or coursework/projects.
Familiarity with Juniper MX and QFX product lines.
Exposure to deploying or supporting a Service Provider network is beneficial (certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIA‑SP, JNCIS‑ENT, NRS I, or NRS II a plus).
Familiarity with Nokia 7750 routers and SR OS configurations is helpful.
Exposure to fiber optics, GPON, or XGS-PON technology.
Exposure to OLT hardware and configurations, such as Calix and Nokia platforms, is a plus.
Basic understanding of BGP, MPLS, DHCP, VLANs, static and dynamic routing protocols, VPNs, VRRP, ERPS.

Reporting to the IT Desktop Engineering Manager, this position uses practical experience and working knowledge of industry standard tools, methods and techniques to create standards to manage VyStar's end user technology and digital experience.. This position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the corporate standard system operating system image and Windows Autopilot profiles that promote optimum usage of enterprise software while maximizing security, digital experience and productivity. The Senior Desktop engineer will build and maintain knowledge base content and operate in both ITIL and Agile frameworks. The Senior Desktop Engineer displays expert level knowledge and extensive experience in all Microsoft Intune administration domains including software deployment, software updates, configuration profiles, dynamic groups, and Windows Autopilot as well as expert-level understating of endpoint operating systems, devices, applications and best practices. This position is also accountable for contributing to a desktop strategy and roadmap for the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manages VyStar's Intune environment.
Creates and maintains Windows Autopilot configurations ensuring seamless and frictionless endpoint delivery of devices to VyStar staff.
Ensures all endpoints perform optimally to create industry-standard digital experience scores across all endpoints and endpoint services.
Creates and maintains standard desktop configurations and assists with the creation of automated software packages to ensure the enterprise endpoint systems can be supported and patched. Maintains the control and process environment for the organization's gold standard operating system image library ensuring client configuration integrity, controlled access and incremental versioning.
Researches and develops new standard hardware and software configurations for use in the enterprise environment.
Performs administration of software distribution, application and security patch management, desktop security, remote support and other enterprise desktop management, monitoring and troubleshooting utilities.
Documents and maintains desktop security standard configurations that support organizational security policies.
Creates technical documentation as required.
Leads tactical and strategic-level projects creating and maintaining project plans.
Analyzes problems and recommends hardware and software solutions as needed to address an issue or to support projects and VyStar initiatives. Seeks appropriate authority and approval for purchases.
Supports the client system testing environment for evaluating desktop hardware, operating systems, hosted applications, service packs and patches, security configurations and image deployment. Schedules and reports on the execution of the testing and validation effort as part of a formal release management process.
Develops reports that provide insight and analysis of desktop software license usage, software and hardware compliance, operating systems and hosted application software distribution.
Administers and maintains the System Center Configuration Manager environment and Intune co-management configurations.
Prepares, tests and releases software application and security updates to production using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Maintains current knowledge of solutions available to perform software distribution, inventory, monitoring, updates and ongoing maintenance for the organization's client system environment.
Collaborates with QA/QE teams to ensure quality assurance testing of software installation packages, application configurations, system images and configuration performance is performed before all implementations.
Stays abreast of current and emerging client computing hardware and software trends and management techniques through self-study, training programs or other education opportunities.
Collaborates with the Enterprise Architect to define an ongoing desktop roadmap and strategy that includes hardware, operating systems, browsers, peripherals and management tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree that emphasizes math, business or computer science with 2 years PC or network support experience
Associates Degree with 4 years PC & network support experience
Working knowledge with routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NAT
Experience administering Cisco Meraki networks
Experience creating and maintaining network diagrams and configuration documentation
Experience installing and configuring network equipment including routers, switches, access points, and cabling
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Working knowledge of supporting network voice, data, and collaboration services
Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
Working knowledge of wireless technologies
Industry certifications such as Network +, Security + and/or CCNA preferred.
Experience configuring and managing Cisco FMC, FTD platforms
Experience configuring site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnels

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

General Summary
The Systems Engineer III performs customer requirements analysis, solution development, and advanced design and implementation of real-time software and hardware systems for operator and maintenance training devices. Will also serve as a mentor to lower-level System Engineers.
Essential Job Functions
Generates requirements traceability matrix given customer requirements in specifications, statements of work, or other documents.
Reviews requirements and generates architectural solutions based on an in-depth knowledge of hardware and software.
Analyzes, designs, and implements real-time software and hardware systems for operator and maintenance training devices.
Attends and briefs project status and engineering issues at Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events and In-Progress Reviews (IPR) ensuring discrepancies noted by the reviewing authority are recorded as appropriate Action Items.
Works with the engineering team and management to assure budget, timeline, and scope requirements are met.
Performs testing at customer sites as well as early testing on pre-release products.
Develops technical proposals and responds to Sources Sought, RFP's, and RFl's in conjunction with the marketing team, assuring they are technically accurate and professionally presented.
Develops training device documentation to meet CDRL requirements
May provide mentoring to lower-level Systems Engineers.
Must be capable of safely handling government-furnished equipment and materials.
Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidate must have an in depth understanding of simulation hardware and software in order to recommend solutions to best fit customer requirements.
Candidate must be self-motivated.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Ability to establish priorities to ensure tasks are accomplished on schedule.
Respond to tasks and mentorship from Engineering Manager or more advanced Systems Engineer.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in an engineering major and five (5) years of experience in systems engineering or another engineering discipline; or
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with seven (7) years of experience in systems engineering another engineering discipline; or
High school diploma or equivalent and eleven (11) years of experience in systems engineering another engineering discipline.
Advanced degree in engineering is preferred.
