Identify opportunities to enhance the robustness of feature signoff validation testing and process. Assist FSEs to develop, maintain, and improve test cases. Lead the triaging and resolution of feature quality issues in the field. Develop negative test cases and Feature Assurance Test Procedures including stress testing to address multi-interface conflicts, edge case, and unexpected I/O conditions. Maintain a real-time, comprehensive open issue list within Jira, ensuring accurate categorization, detailed descriptions, and clear assignment. Regularly review, track, and provide detailed progress reports on all open issues to relevant stakeholders (e.g., weekly status meetings, bi-weekly program reviews). All test results and supporting engineering artifacts (e.g., CAN logs, Bus Queries, diagnostic traces, video recordings) must be consistently uploaded and linked within Jira for full traceability and analysis Proactively communicating task progress and status to designated leaders through specified channels (e.g., JIRA), creating and maintaining Jira Dashboards as applicable, clearly, concisely, and effectively communicating complex technical systems, identified issues, and proposed resolutions to diverse audiences, including engineering teams, program management, and leadership. Senior Network EngineerEmployment Type: Full TimeDepartment: Information Technology CGS is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Network Engineer to join a team focused on the evaluation, enhancement, and maintenance of a large-scale network project that includes both wired and wireless network infrastructure and related hardware & software. The project's objectives are to evaluate the current setup of existing disparate networks and design & implement a network infrastructure that encompasses the wireless, wired, and software network requirements. The project will also include consultation regarding hardware and software necessary to facilitate the proper support for this encompassing infrastructure, and the associated systems testing, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance needed to implement the new setup. This Network Engineer will interface with state and local governmental personnel, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendor(s) who will provide development services. Skills and attributes for success:- Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure;- Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities based on the deployment of network management software;- Develop, maintain and deliver infrastructure documentation relating to the network infrastructure within the NPS environment;- Review current best practices and provide recommendations for architecture, design, management and operation of the network infrastructure;- Administration of the Cloudpath (or equivalent) onboarding process, monitoring and troubleshooting of wireless network health, maintenance of wireless network infrastructure, implementation of network security patches and software/firmware updates, from 0800 to 1700 PST, Monday-Friday;- Assess the NPS network infrastructure and make recommendations on improvement and optimization;- Define and conduct testing procedures for new infrastructure projects;- Implement technology solutions within the NPS network environment;- Provide design guidance on network solutions within NPS infrastructure projects;- Provide informal training and knowledge transfer to NPS resources on best practices and theory of operation relating to network products.
