Job Summary:
Provide technical expertise in the implementation, and support of Cisco Collaboration solutions including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco Emergency Responder (CER) and Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX). The site has an aging Avaya G3SI PBX that needs to be replaced with a Cisco Collaboration Solution. The solution will include the Main Treatment Facility (MTF) and Eleven (11) Remote sites. Some of the remote sites have multiple buildings that will be part of the project. The MTF will have approximately five thousand (5000) new VoIP phones and five hundred (500) analog devices (analog fax machines, elevator phones, security systems, etc). The remote sites will have approximately eighteen hundred (1800) new VoIP phones and three hundred and fourteen (314) analog devices (analog fax machines, elevator phones, security systems, etc). The candidate will be responsible for migrating from the old PBX to the new Cisco Voice Solution and provide on going support.

Job Description
• Maintains smooth operation of local area, world wide and virtual private networks (VPN). Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, Cypto Gear, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
• May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design and plan network communications systems.
• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conduct testing of network design.
• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, hubs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, deep packet inspection analysis, application packet analysis, switches (Nexus and Catalyst), and proxies (Reverse and Forward),etc.
• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
• VOIP call manager administration and maintenance.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 9 years of relevant IT professional experience with a Bachelor's in Science degree; 7 years with a Masters and or 18 years of relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Hands on experience with Cisco routers, switches, load-balancers, and firewalls
• Experience writing test plans, test procedures, and test reports
• Install and manage specialized network management applications, (HP OpenView, CA Spectrum, Solarwinds, Cisco Secure Servers-ACS-SE)
• Hands on experience with BGP, OSPF, and DNS
• Hands on experience with DNS
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint to transform complex technical information into high-level, concise and clear presentations
• Strong written/verbal communication and attention to details

The ideal candidate will be an expert in 802.11 technologies, controller-based WLAN implementation, and wireless security. This role requires designing and optimizing enterprise wireless networks, conducting predictive and on-site heat maps for Wi-Fi coverage, and implementing secure authentication mechanisms. The engineer will ensure seamless integration of Local Wireless Controllers with existing Mobility Conductors, maintaining a highly secure and resilient wireless infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and optimize Aruba-based wireless networks, ensuring high performance and security.
Conduct wireless site surveys and predictive modeling using tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet to assess RF propagation, interference, and coverage.
Implement and manage Aruba Mobility Conductors, Controllers, and Access Points, ensuring seamless operation within an enterprise environment.
