Position Summary
This position is a part of the Infrastructure team within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Operations group. The focus for this role is the design and support for servers, storage, virtualization, active directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in Linux is desired. Daily activities may include support for hyperconverged infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Citrix, virtual machines, group policy, disaster recovery, PowerShell, Kubernetes, and server operating systems. * Identification Badge Processing:
* Process activations, terminations, and access level changes.
* Print and ship badges as required.
* Security Investigations:
* Conduct CCTV reviews and prepare incident and badge access reports as directed by the client.

* Add/remove users, update report parameters, and assist with routine system upgrades and maintenance.

Qualifications:
* Prior experience with security systems such as Genetec, Prowatch, or similar platforms preferred.
* Ability to manage multiple systems and respond quickly to operational issues.
* Experience working in a corporate or highly regulated environment is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
* Ability to lift and move small equipment or perform light manual maintenance tasks if needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
Develop, deploy, and oversee high-performance LAN/WAN/SAN infrastructures, integrating secure wireless networking solutions for both corporate and remote locations.
Follow best practices to ensure network security protocols are implemented and updated as necessary to safeguard company data, systems, and infrastructure from internal and external threats, this includes following PCI standards.
Configure, maintain, and optimize network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring high availability, performance and security.
Lead network troubleshooting and incident response efforts to quickly resolve issues and minimize downtime across critical systems.
Serve as a technical lead for infrastructure projects, including new store rollouts, network upgrades, and technology deployments.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and policies.
Evaluate emerging networking technologies and tools to provide recommendations to improve network efficiency, security, and scalability.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or engineering, with a strong track record in enterprise environments.
At least CCNA certification, CCNP preferred
Advanced knowledge of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, BGP, OSPF and VLANs).
Experience with Sonicwall firewalls
Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and management tools
Proven expertise in routing, switching, firewall configuration, and wireless networking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti networking products and UniFi Controller software.
Experience with Cisco and Ubiquiti wireless configuration and management
SAN and backup solution design and implementation
Knowledge of PCI security standards
Familiarity with F5 load balancers

The Network Engineer Intern will report into the Sr. Manager of IT who oversees the Network team. This team is responsible for maintaining and administering the company's corporate and store networks. The intern will learn a strong understanding of network infrastructure and will gain exposure to implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.

Internship Qualifications

Program Details
The KnitWell Group Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2026 and 2027 college students to work with several of our brands (Ann Taylor, Haven Well Within, LOFT, Talbots) and Corporate Shared Services to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department for 10-weeks and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
The pay rate for the position is $20.00/hr.
This internship position will be based out of our Distribution Center office location in Etna, OH.
KnitWell Group does not offer housing near any of our corporate office locations. Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location.
