The Opportunity We are seeking two Network Operators to join our firm. These positions will be based in our White Plains office (hybrid after initial cross-training). There are multiple shifts available: Weekend Night (3 days): Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) The Network Operators support and maintain the Firm's production infrastructure that operates 24x7x365 to ensure maximum availability and performance of all services. Working as a team takes ownership of the production infrastructure including, WAN, LAN, administration, analysis, installation, configuration, maintenance, and documentation. Leads and participates in proactive service management and incident response to eliminate and mitigate operational issues that impact end-users. This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you. Job Details This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. Piper Companies is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join a Service Delivery team supporting a key Service Provider account in a hybrid, on-site role based in New York. This is a highly technical, client-facing engineering position focused on post-sales support, network operations, and migration from Cisco to Juniper platforms. Responsibilities of the Resident Network Engineer include: * Serve as a Juniper SME for the customer, providing hands-on support across MX304, EX switches, SSR routers, and Mist platforms. * Lead operational and engineering efforts including troubleshooting, design support, and industrial engineering tasks. * Provide technical guidance and training to customer teams, including implementation and support personnel. * Facilitate weekly operations calls to review network health, JTAC case status, and ongoing issues. * Proactively audit network configurations, alarms, and logs to identify risks and recommend improvements. * Support migration efforts from Cisco to Juniper, leveraging deep knowledge of both ecosystems. * Conduct design workshops and collaborate with customer stakeholders to shape sustainable network architectures. * Test and validate new features, patches, and fixes in both lab and live environments. * Assist with network inventory tracking and documentation of operating procedures. * Raise and manage RMAs through resolution. * Peer with other Resident Engineers to share lessons learned and best practices. Qualifications for the Resident Network Engineer include: * 5+ years of experience in service provider or enterprise network engineering roles. * Strong hands-on experience with Juniper MX, EX, SSR, and Mist platforms. * Familiarity with Cisco devices and migration strategies. * Deep understanding of routing protocols including MPLS, ISIS, Segment Routing, and IP-based services. * Experience with SD-WAN, switching, and Wi-Fi technologies. * Proven ability to present in front of clients and lead technical discussions. * Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a customer-first mindset. * Willingness to work extended hours and be on-site 2-3 times per week in New York.
