In this role you will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues in a high-tech manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is an excellent problem-solver with strong communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. This position is located in South Portland, Maine and reports to the US Infrastructure Manager.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Continually monitoring service tickets and ensuring they are worked on in a timely manner.
Maintain records of user interactions, problems and solutions; document new processes and new fixes and share with the team to improve future support efforts.
Maintain and repair current desktop and laptop hardware, software, and accessories. This includes installing and configuring new equipment and managing inventory.
Set up new employee workstations, install operating systems, software, printers, and other peripherals. Teach users how to use new systems and software effectively.
Work with vendors who support commercial copiers and plotter printers and replace desktop Inkjet and laser printers and Zebra label printers as required.
Use NetAlly to test LAN drops, determine the correct subnet, and other 1st level network support issues.
Escalate any unresolved issues to team and Infrastructure Manager
Work will also be conducted within cleanroom environment which requires adherence to strict contamination control protocols essential for our semiconductor operations. This requires deep attention to detail to Diodes' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), gowning protocols, safety regulations, etc.
Follow all 5S procedures inside the cleanroom and in the office area.
Assist with IT during office moves and set up and provide meeting assistance and conference room support when needed.
May be required to work holidays and extra hours depending on support requirements and coverage needed.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience as an IT Technician, Help Desk Technician or relevant position is a plus.
Practical/working knowledge of various back-up and imaging utilities, eg: Acronis, Clonezilla, etc.
Strong hardware knowledge of Dell, Lenovo, and black-box Desktops and Laptops; HDD/SSD replacement, RAM upgrades, and more.
Understanding of Windows installation and upgrade processes from all Windows versions: 3.X, XP, Vista, 7, 10, and 11.
Strong technical knowledge of software, operating systems (Windows, mac OS), Microsoft software support, web browser support, SharePoint, Windows Client software
Must understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides and have extensive equipment support experience
The ability to diagnose problems and identify root causes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize requests, work under pressure, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff. Must have a positive attitude and friendly, approachable disposition, even when under pressure.
An associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
Must have CompTIA A+ and/or Cisco (CCNA) certifications
The role requires physical work, such as lifting equipment, and working in tight spaces.

Call volume is variable but is usually 1-3 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

IT Network & Telecommunications designs, operates and maintains the organization's local and wide area networks and telecommunications systems and manages relationships with telecommunications service and maintenance vendors. This job family evaluates existing network systems and develops long-term strategies to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements. IT Network & Telecommunications performs technical analyses of software, hardware, and network systems as well as systems engineering for front-end processors, multiplexors, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems.
IT Network Analyst for the Voice Team will be deploying and supporting enterprise voice technologies with a focus on voice services including but not limited to Cisco Unified Communications Manager/Unity Connection, Ribbon SBC's and SIP. This position is responsible for deploying and supporting as well as enhancing complex data and voice communication networks: 1) Research and development of voice, contact center & networking technologies; 2) Understand business requirements and design solutions to meet requirements; 3) Develop project plans and coordinate across IT functions 4) Implementation of new technology and systems, installation and maintenance of infrastructure; 5) and contribution to establishing and maintaining standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven experience in the data/voice communications field preferred
- Expert level understanding of Cisco UC technologies is required
- Must have familiarity with troubleshooting and maintaining Ribbon SBCs preferred
- Experience setting up and maintaining Cisco CUCE appliances also preferred
- Experience standing up and maintaining new CUCM/CUC/Cisco Satellite servers required
- Experience with migrating large groups of phones to CUCM required
- Experience setting up international dialing on a Cisco voice gateway preferred
- Experience troubleshooting Cisco IP Communicator, Cisco Jabber, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Team and Zoom required
- Familiarity with Agile methodology preferred
- Experience with troubleshooting tools Wireshark, Splunk and RTMT preferred
- Experience integrating Axis intercoms and paging systems, as well as Poly conference phones with CUCM preferred
- Experience using West Safety Systems platform required
- Must have experience with setting up and troubleshooting carrier SIP and PRI trunks as well as analog lines preferred
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting AudioCodes ATAs such as MP114s, MP118, MP124s required
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ATAs such as VG202XMs, VG204XMs, VG310 and VG320s required
- Must have experience configuring and troubleshooting CIMC as well as vSphere
- Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting voice technologies
- Understanding of IP data, voice, and video networking concepts and systems is preferred
