This position is responsible for Tier 1 Information Technology (IT) support functions. What you ll do:
Become familiar with DataServ policies and procedures
Represent DataServ in a positive manner to colleagues, customer base and vendors
Work on the design, implementation and support of wired and wireless network infrastructure, routing and switching, telephony, firewall, video surveillance and access control solutions
Add and delete users as required on network servers and applications
Perform both routine and emergency maintenance
Analyze, recommend and evaluate new hardware and software products for network compatibility
Develop, maintain and update a library of technical documentation
Assist with staging activities for telephony, wireless, network, and data center installations, as well as various other solutions as needed
Participate in customer project meetings
Keep current on new developments and techniques in information technology
Work with training coordination to help with training initiatives for team member career development
Participate on special projects and Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
Develop processes, implement effective workflows and embrace best practices
Provide redundancy and backup support for other team members
Be a supportive team member to others
All other duties as assigned
What we require:
Associates or Bachelor s degree preferred or relevant prior work experience
Technical certifications and/or technical training in local and wide area networks and/or communications is highly desirable
CCNA preferred within 90 days
Obtain additional certifications, as required
Availability to work nights and weekends
Must be able to travel to various company and customer sites as required
Able to frequently travel on a daily basis
Overnight travel with extended hours
Experience with databases preferred
Experience with technology manufacturers (i.e. Cisco, Microsoft, HP, Dell, etc.) preferred
Pre-employment drug screening required
Pre-employment driver s license and background checks required
