ProMedica Vision Associates has 11 MD/ODs. ProMedica has a large number of neurologists and neurosurgeons, with a well-established referral pattern from regional optometrists. ProMedica Vision Associates has specialists in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastic & reconstructive surgery, pediatrics, and retinal diseases. The recent retiring doctor is an ophthalmologist and performed a variety of cataract, strabismus, and lid procedures and any level of surgery would be open to the candidate. Our system also offers the possibility of a neurology-trained neuro-ophthalmologist to join our neuro-sciences team and divide time between both locations. There are 2 neurology residencies and a medical school in Toledo. Teaching and an academic appointment is encouraged.
