Neuroscience Group has variable part-time and full time Registered Nurse (RN) Triage positions available. As a vital member of the Clinical Services Team, the RN Triage Nurse will be responsible for managing incoming patient calls related to clinical concerns and collaborating with physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure timely and appropriate patient care. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively respond to both written and verbal inquiries. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing a demanding workload with accuracy, and committed to thorough follow-through in all aspects of patient care. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the primary contact for patients telephoning the office with questions or problems/concerns that are of a clinical nature. Triages patient calls and communicates with the patient's MD/AP regarding the appropriate action. Initiates follow-up phone calls to patients for the purpose of reinforcing educational information, assessing response to treatment/medication, and informing them of test results and the subsequent plan of care. Documents in the medical record, in a timely and accurate manner, all pertinent patient information to ensure continuity of patient care. Responsible for patient teaching/education regarding medication injections. Stocks and maintains sample medication closet, dispensing samples as directed by physician. Assists patients with the enrollment process necessary for financial assistance to obtain prescribed medication as appropriate. Regularly attends and contributes positively to team and organizational meetings. All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by the RN Triage Nurse Team Lead. This exciting position has an established patient panel with a large volume of shoulder arthroplasties. This practice would predominantly be a shoulder and elbow practice. The department includes colleagues that are Fellowship-trained in Trauma, Hand, Foot & Ankle, Sports Medicine, Pediatrics and Total Joint Specialists. The practice boasts an exceptional facility with a large ASC, advanced imaging on site, in-office fluoroscopy, and adjacent inpatient recovery short-stay suites. Call is 1:9. Expected total shoulder volume would be 125 - 150 total shoulders per year. Total case volume easily should reach 400 cases per year. Double rooms available for efficient surgeons. This individual has completed the education and clinical training requirements established by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and holds current board certification from The Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). The Music Therapist must adhere to the CBMT Code of Professional Practice, the Code of Ethics and Standards of Clinical Practice set forth by the American Music Therapy Association. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. **Minimum Required** : Graduated with a bachelor's degree or higher from a music therapy degree program. **Preferred/Optional:** Master's degree in Music Therapy from a music therapy degree program. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** Completion of a Music Therapy Internship under a board-certified music therapist in a medical setting and successful board certification.
