    The Organ Services Administrator On-Call (AOC) has the responsibility for providing support for organ activities within the assigned designated service area (DSA), to maximize opportunities for donation. Provides oversight of the dispatch of Organ, Family, and Hospital Services staff to perform evaluations of all organ referrals. In addition to oversight of referrals, the AOC is also responsible for the oversight of staff members on current case activity. Essential Functions Statement(s): Participates in a 24-hour call schedule to provide critical thinking and decision making along with resource management decisions. Ability to perform all functions described for Procurement Transplant Coordinator (PTC) Levels I, II Provides real-time clinical and administrative expertise and oversight aimed at maximizing donation during the referral and recovery processes for organ cases. Problem solves with on-site organ team members and provides clinical and logistical expertise in all areas of the donation process. Responsible for determining suitability of all potential organ donors. Completes an evaluation of all brain death notes to ensure conformance with hospital policy prior to the start of the donor case. Determines the evaluation plan and allocation plan for all active donor cases. Determines a care plan for all active donor cases in collaboration with the Medical Director. Determines the evaluation plan and allocation plan for all active donor cases. Makes determination for any waivers, local back-up offers, or policy variances. Provides resource management and direction to the clinical teams for the day-to-day operations. Orchestrates team “huddles” with NDN staff when a multi-disciplinary approach is appropriate. Participates in case debriefs, as appropriate. Completes referral classification and case dispositions. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or biological science or related experience required. Experience: 5 years Practical Critical Care experience, or 3 years OPO related experience specifically to the management of a cadaveric donor preferred. Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and social media platforms. Certificates & Licenses: Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) is required. Other Requirements: Possesses leadership skills.
