Responsibilities Essential Duties Measure freight and enter information into the computer system Perform simple mathematical calculations regarding freight measurements Look up and apply correct classifications to the freight Generate and submit reports regarding freight weights and measures Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job Lift various types of materials including cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etc. Use common material handling tools will be used (carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors) to move freight for inspection purposes Work in a safe and professional manner to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees Comply with federal, state, and company regulations Be available and willing to work; exceptions require management approval Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times Perform other duties as directed or requested Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Previous experience not required Must have command of the English language with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and perform simple mathematical calculations Must be self-motivated and able to self-manage Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, etc) Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying, bending, reaching, and lifting both above and below waist level will be required. Although most shops are well ventilated, the work involves exposure to dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. May be required to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift. They will also stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. They will use hand and power tools. The Technician will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times. Servicing Counties: Athens, Fairfield, Hocking, Perry, Pickaway, Ross, & VintonWhat you will do… • As Senior Inspector, investigates Orphan Well complaints & completes referrals; interviews parties & witnesses; gathers records & documentation (e.g., photos, drilling data, cement records, electric logs, hydrogen sulfide [H2S])• Conducts on-site meetings with operators &/or engineers, contractors, & consultants to explain permit conditions; makes policy & work recommendations• Drafts well descriptions & plugging plans for development of the Projects Scope of Work• Witnesses & monitors all phases of orphan & idle well projects such as approving plugging methods & plugging oversight, drafts field orders & change orders for the orphan well program; tracks quantities• Investigates & evaluates contamination & pollution of soil or water resources & inspection & approval of restoration of disturbed land area• Acts as a liaison with other local, county, state, & federal officials• This position requires travel to field sites to conduct inspections & to be available 24 hours/7 days per week to respond to calls &/or site inspections• Starting hourly pay of $30.55/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, with an end salary of $44.74/hr.• There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied.
