We're hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities:
EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
Other Responsibilities:
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
State EMT License
State Driver's License
BLS, NREMT
Driving record compliant with company policy
Pass Physical Agility Test
Some work experience, preferably healthcare

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Assist the Regional Manager in the development and reporting of timely and accurate financial information including budgets, forecasts, and projected spending.

About the Role
Virginia Transformer Corporation is seeking a hands-on Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead the mechanical design and development function across six manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in mechanical systems, metallurgy, and polymers, along with strong leadership experience in custom electromechanical equipment design.
This role will be responsible for standardizing design practices, improving manufacturability, and ensuring all mechanical designs meet rigorous standards of quality, performance, and safety. You will collaborate closely with plant-level engineering teams, corporate R&D, sourcing, and vendor quality to drive innovation, consistency, and cost optimization across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical design engineers across multiple sites, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure consistent application of the mechanical design manual and design standards across all six plants.
Partner with corporate R&D to advance new mechanical design initiatives and introduce innovative materials, features, and product enhancements.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the design teams, driving measurable improvement in design quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Design & Engineering Execution
Oversee the design and development of mechanical assemblies, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Provide direct, hands-on technical support when needed - including concept development, modeling, and problem-solving for complex design challenges.
Apply deep understanding of metallurgy, polymers, and material properties to improve product performance, longevity, and thermal characteristics.
Establish, update, and enforce design automation and process assurance systems to maintain consistency and reduce variability in mechanical design outputs.
Review and approve detailed mechanical drawings, design calculations, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with internal and industry standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sourcing and Vendor Quality Assurance to qualify suppliers and evaluate materials or components for new or alternative sourcing.
Participate in design reviews, non-conformance investigations (NCRs), and root cause/corrective action efforts to resolve mechanical and manufacturing issues.
Work closely with plant management and production teams to ensure mechanical designs support operational goals and manufacturability.
Collaborate with Safety and Compliance functions to ensure adherence to industry, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Master's degree in mechanical engineering preferred. PE is a plus.
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in thermo-mechanical design of custom electromechanical equipment, with at least 5 years in a senior management or multi-site leadership role.
Proven background in metallurgy, polymers, material science, or industrial product design from manufacturing, energy, aerospace, rail, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of FEA/FEM analytical tools, CAD systems, and 3D design platforms (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
Demonstrated success leading engineering teams in a plant, multi plant or global manufacturing environment.

Highly qualified seasonal crew staff are recruited each year to support completion of routine trail maintenance, major rehabilitation/repair, and relocation projects. Crew Coordinators are critical to the effective operation of quality crew programs. They serve as hosts to the volunteers and are responsible for all activities necessary to ensure smooth operation of ATC's crew camps, including welcoming and orienting crew volunteers, purchasing crew food and supplies, assisting with crew vehicle maintenance, supporting fieldwork, etc. Applicants must demonstrate responsibility, initiative, and self-motivation. They must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and cooperatively as a member of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan menus for crew meals in the field & at base camp, supervise & conduct meal preparation while the crews are at base camp.
Purchase food and supplies for crews efficiently and cost effectively, following ATC purchasing procedures.
Provide basic facility upkeep such as minor repairs, cleaning, submitting work orders, etc.
Support Crew Leaders by assisting with arrangements for routine maintenance or repairs to vehicles and tools and providing other assistance as requested.
Assist with program management duties, including financial record-keeping, monitoring spending trends, and maintaining budget integrity.
Ensure safe, clean, and environmentally sound conditions at the trail crew base camp.

Join our team at a premier senior living community in Daleville, VA where you will have an opportunity to support their vibrant residents in fitness programming. The Health Fitness Specialist Substitute is called upon when the full-time fitness staff use their PTO. This position follows the direction of the Fitness Manager to assist in management of the day-to-day operations in their beautiful fitness amenities including a pool, fitness center, and group fitness space. You will have the opportunity to grow and gain experience in setting customer service standards, maintaining ACSM facility standards and guidelines, working with members, maintaining a group fitness program, and other duties as assigned. This position is per diem (as needed), so you can take the shifts that work for you.
Essential Duties
Teaches group exercise classes onsite; provides a range of acceptable activities to meet various fitness levels of class participants; adheres to appropriate safety guidelines while keeping classes inviting, challenging, and well-attended
Supervises fitness center and uses educational background and other relevant training to accurately and safely answer member questions related to health, fitness, and wellbeing
Assesses health status of members, ranging from apparently healthy to high risk, to provide exercise and other wellness-related counsel/recommendations unique to each individual through exercise prescriptions, fitness assessments and other related services
Conducts orientations according to the facility layout, membership policies/procedures, and Quality Assurance guidelines
Establishes an ongoing positive and professional rapport with members
Cross-trains to learn some responsibilities of other full-time staff onsite
Partners with other staff to help clean equipment and other areas of the facility as needed
Demonstrates work ethic, ingenuity, customer care, and attention to detail
Maintains familiarity with and abides by the policies stated in the NIFS Employee Handbook
Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Experience & Requirements
Degree in a health-related field preferred
or
working toward degree
Relevant work experience and training required; experience with older adult clientele preferred
Ability to teach basic balance, chair exercise and muscle conditioning group fitness classes; where applicable, aquatic experience preferred
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required
ACSM and other Industry Certifications acknowledged
May, at any time, be required to submit to and successfully pass a thorough background check and/or drug screen
