New Covenant Academy company history timeline
Founded in 1979, NCA originally began as a church-sponsored school, housed at Word of God Tabernacle.
In 1981, several area churches worked in collaboration to develop New Covenant Academy.
The Academy purchased its permanent home in 1995 at 3304 Cox Ave., Springfield, MO. It is now serving families attending over 95 Christian churches.
NCA was established in 1999 by Doctor and Mrs.
NCA was fully accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 2005.
NCA is also a member school of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and California Association of Private School Organizations (CAPSO). In 2010, NCA was authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme School.
The Parkcrest Life360 church property was purchased on April 1, 2017.
The property went under extensive remodel and during this time fire, on June 5, 2018, heavily damaged the original chapel.
In the 2018-19 school year, the Girls Volleyball team won its division and made it to playoffs for the first time in NCA history, following the legacy of the Boys Basketball team.
NCA celebrated occupancy of Liberty Campus and moved the 5-8th-grade (intermediate and jr. high) program onto the campus on January 21, 2019, with the first day of classes on January 22, 2019.
