MARITAL OR COUPLES THERAPY HELPS PARTNERS AND SPOUSES WORK TOGETHER ON RELATIONSHIPS AND MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. FAMILY THERAPY OFTEN INVOLVES SEVERAL FAMILY MEMBERS SO THAT THE FAMILY SYSTEM CAN FUNCTION BETTER FOR EACH OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS. IN ALL FORMS OF THERAPY FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR ALCOHOL OR DRUG ISSUES, THE THERAPIST WORKS WITH THE CLIENTS TO IDENTIFY AND THEN RESOLVE ISSUES THAT ARE LEADING TO CURRENT LIFE DIFFICULTIES.
