    Responsibilities The Working Supervisor position is responsible for assisting the Head of LARS with the oversight and management of the Laboratory Animal Research Service (LARS) vivarium at the Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute (LFKRI). This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the vivarium, including conducting room rounds; maintaining regular communication with scientists, veterinarians, and the Head of LARS regarding daily care; administering treatments prescribed by clinical veterinarians and/or the Head of LARS; monitoring and documenting all health assessments, treatments, and follow-up care; participating in training initiatives; actively participating in quarterly sentinel health screenings; and providing coverage for husbandry technicians as needed. Additional responsibilities may also be assigned, such as specific vivarium room round duties and other departmental needs. The Working Supervisor also serves as a key individual responsible for conducting researcher compliance follow-up training and hands-on instruction in relevant policies, procedures, and techniques, as well as administering assessments to measure the effectiveness of training efforts. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining the LFKRI autoclave and glassware area and for providing services and hands-on training to LARS and LFKRI staff on the proper use of the autoclave and glasswasher. Primary Functions Ensure daily activities required for Animal Facility operations are properly and efficiently conducted in compliance with all local, state, federal regulations and accrediting agency guidelines (e.g., AAALAC, OLAW, USDA, etc.). Schedule and coordinate department training and practice after initial training with the Head of LARS, including emergency preparedness training which will provide essential tools to develop proficiencies. Trains new LARS/Research members and provides working supervision to junior staff. Assist and Maintains records of training. Provide for the care of laboratory animals in a humane, safe and sanitary manner. Place order through Oracle e.g. animal, food, equipment, office supplies etc. Assist in animal billing and account payable Observe animals for clinical signs of disease and behavioral changes and report observations to the Head of LARS. Provide and perform coverage for the LARS staff. Schedule room break down, sanitize service rooms, equipment and hallways sanitize animal room. Provide routine treatment for common disease problems and monitor health status as instructed by the Head of LARS or Veterinarian. Assist in the operation/maintenance of animal, breeding and procedure records. Receive, transport and distribute incoming and exporting animals as specified by established animal receiving procedures(quarantine). Maintain the cage washer, bottle filler, autoclave and other support equipment with vendors. Schedule with Facilities, animal carcasses, biological waste products and general refuse. Maintain various containment areas: quarantine, isolation, barrier, irradiation and biohazard (BSL-2). Process and preforms special service requests Maintaining and schedule Autoclave/glassware area Schedule and operate decontamination unit with LFKRI laboratories Hand-on training on glasswasher and autoclave Assist with the LFKRI researcher(s) Serve as Back-up for the Head of LARS when unannounced inspector visit.     We are seeking an experienced bioinformatician for the Tisch Cancer Center Bioinformatics for Next Generation Sequencing (BiNGS) shared resource facility, to lead transcriptomics and epigenetics data analysis projects in Cancer biology. The mission of BiNGS is to enhance scholarship and facilitate NGS data analysis in the ISMMS community by providing access to state-of-the-art tools and training. The BiNGS staff support a broad range of bioinformatics analyses for multiple applications spanning bulk ATAC-, RNA-, and ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN and HiC, single cell ATAC- and RNA-seq, single cell Multiome and Spatial Transcriptomics, WGS and WES. BiNGS further provides services for data management, bioinformatics tools development, access to biocomputing resources, web-based app development, and advanced computational training in data analysis. We are focused on delivering a comprehensive, rapid and user-friendly service. More specifically, we are working on multiple projects together with PIs in the Tisch Cancer Center and the broader Mount Sinai community to analyze NGS related datasets. For example, we are working to understand the role of RAS mutations in the development of Leukemia utilizing single cell RNA- and ATAC-seq; understand the role of histone variants in cancer development utilizing enhancers analysis, transcriptomic analysis, open chromatin analysis and transcription factor network analysis; in another project, we are utilizing bulk and single cell, and spatial transcriptomics to understand breast cancer metastasis to bone. Finally, we are utilizing FIBER-seq (third generation PacBio long read sequencing), to better understand how chromatin remodelers shape the chromatin landscape. We are seeking a highly motivated senior Bioinformatic Scientist who wants the opportunity to significantly impact the growth and success of our research programs, the bioinformatics core and the services we provide. The candidate will work closely with investigators to facilitate and enhance the processing of their projects. Commitment to accuracy, high attention-to-details, and ability to work independently are critical competencies for the role. The ability to lead projects and a team of bioinformaticians is a must. Assists in Inventory Control to assure adequate supplies (QC, reagents, calibrators and other consummables0 are available and reagents are stored properly (temperature sensitive). Supplies are dated appropriately when placed in use. 11. Participates in other projects/duties as assigned by the Supervisor/ Lab Management. 12. Takes initiative in resolving instrument related problems and finding alternate options for test processing. 13. Uses available time to departmental advantage and assists where needed. 14.
