The Intern, working with a Scientist in the Center for Biodiversity and

the project in Colombia. This position is intended for a student interested in
gaining hands-on experience and instruction in herbarium- and laboratory based

Qualifications:
This opportunity is available to current (or graduating Spring 2025) college

The Senior Manager of Special Events and Partnerships is responsible for stewarding a portfolio of corporate donors and program management related to the New York Botanical Garden's special events and partnerships program, as well as playing a vital role in the cultivation, engagement, and stewardship of the Advisory Board and Board of Trustees. The Senior Manager will maintain or support key relationships with Garden donors, staff (full-time and temporary), contractors, and vendors.
As a member of the Garden's Institutional Advancement department, one of the main objectives of this position is to design, produce, and solicit for the Garden's in-person and virtual touchpoints (events, social media, communications). The Senior Manager will lead campaign- and appeal-based fundraising efforts through special events and projects that generate a gross yield greater than $1,500,000 each year.
Partnership will be vital to this position's success. As such, the Senior Manager is expected to be a collaborative and strategic member of the Institutional Advancement department and the Special Events, Projects, and Partnerships team.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Partner with the Associate Vice President of Special Events, Projects, and Partnerships and key Garden staff to produce best-in-class fundraising and donor relations results.
Cultivate, solicit, and steward a dynamic donor portfolio of at least 50 corporate prospects, personally raising $750,000 or greater in new commitments annually.
Manage NYBG's corporate event and sponsorship support program to increase total sponsorships and total dollars raised, including the identification and securing of event leadership, honorees, and corporate sponsors.
Demonstrate exceptional skill in persuasion through PowerPoint and proposal creation, spoken communication skills, and writing which will include e-mail and social media outreach, campaign and special event proposals, biographies, agenda, event and meeting scripts, stewardship communications, and reports.
Identify, research, solicit, and engage prospective and historical special events sponsors.
Manage a special events and partnerships portfolio (in-person and virtual), generating an attendance ranging, on average, between 25 and 600 participants.
Support the production and implementation of NYBG events and projects led by the President's Office and other team members.
Maintain active and accurate use of relevant constituent relationship management (CRM) systems, document tracking, contract and invoice processing, and filing systems.
Required Experience and Skills:
3 years of progressive fundraising, sales, or marketing experience.
Driver's license.
Bachelor's Degree.
Strong persuasive and creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Excellent project and time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Interest and capacity to work with a multi-generational and diverse identity environment, inclusive of clients, donors, members, Board members and their families, staff, consultants, and volunteers.

Position Summary and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Dean of the College, the Associate Dean provides collaborative leadership for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and Contemplative Practices (RSCLP) in support of the educational mission of the College. The Associate Dean directs and supervises a team of religious life professionals and a circle of campus Affiliate Advisors to support vibrant communities of practice grounded in specific religious, spiritual, and contemplative traditions, encouraging and supporting students as they explore their own and other traditions. The work of the office is anchored in a model of chaplaincy that seeks to move beyond identity-based fragmenting of communities and actively cultivates transformative experiences of belonging-in-difference. The Associate Dean provides thoughtful and informed guidance on the changing nature of religious life and the role of contemplative traditions in secular liberal arts education.
Responsibilities
* Provide spiritual leadership and vision to promote the spiritual well-being of the diverse student community on a secular campus. Work with campus partners to develop best practices and policies for campus religious life today, navigating expectations of both on-campus and off-campus communities.
* Provide support, counsel, and guidance to individuals and groups in times of crisis or significant campus grief, serving as a resource for students, family and extended members of the college community.
* Provide thought leadership around how we mark annual traditions and key events for campus religious, spiritual and contemplative traditions.
* Offer practices and support campus observances of the Associate Dean's own tradition.
* Promote inter-religious discussion, learning, and engagement among religious, spiritual, and secular student communities.
* Oversee the administration and budget for the RSLCP Office and related programming and spaces.
* Collaborate with Advancement to maintain supportive donor relationships.
* Oversee and supervise student interns to serve the campus through creative student-centered and student-initiated programming.
* Advise, support, offer leadership development, and help fund student religious and spiritual communities at the college.
* Collaborate with the multiple offices and initiatives within the Dean of the College area to promote the health, well-being, contemplative practices, and life-callings of students.
* Convene an inter-religious advisory committee of faculty and administrators.
* Participate on college committees relevant to supporting students and student groups.
Qualifications
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
* Master's degree in religious leadership or equivalent training and a minimum of five years of leadership and supervisory experience as a campus religious professional.
* 5+ years of experience cultivating inter-religious collaboration and demonstrated understanding of the role of religious and spiritual life in a liberal arts residential college.
* 5+ years of experience creating and leading collective rituals in both established and nonce forms that meet the campus needs.
* Demonstrated interpersonal competencies, embodying empathy and the ability to meet people in crisis situations and differentiate between self and other quickly.
* Familiarity with secular contemplative practices and tradition-specific contemplative practices.
* Extensive budget management experience and the ability to use resources efficiently.
* Experience developing student leadership and student-centered programming.
* Excellent public speaking, including ability to find resonant spiritual language in secular settings.
* Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
* Proven capacity to navigate campus systems and organizations, and cultivate a sense of shared undertaking and collaborative possibility across differences.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and to constructively navigate sensitive, difficult and high-visibility situations.
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
* Training in a tradition of contemplative practice (secular or spiritual/religious).
* Ordination or its equivalent sponsored by the candidate's religious tradition.
* A doctoral degree in theological education or equivalent
Compensation
The starting annual base salary range for this full-time, 11 month position is $91,700-$119,200.

Position Summary:
The Field Logisitics Support (RPT) is responsible for assisting management team with daily operational and field logistics. Will also function as a tram driver and operate tram and other vehicles in a safe and professional manner. This representative will assist management with mentoring staff on tram and other vehicles as needed. Emphasis will be placed on customer service (greeting, guiding visitors, promoting Membership etc). The individual in this role will report to the Director of Experience (Operations).
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Basic vehicle maintenance; including refueling and cleaning
Safely transport passengers through Garden grounds while providing narrative explanation
Observance of all institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Keep up-to-date and knowledgable on all Garden events, programs, and current exhibitions; inform visitors about all areas of the Garden
Conduct transactions in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by the Visitor Experience department
Become familiar in admissions apparatus and protocols
Assist management with training junior staff on tram and other vehicles
Assist with exhibition set-up, breakdown, signage, and transportation needs
Monitor and respond to tram radio calls and other radio calls as needed
Assist with day-of tram bookings and group visit logisitics
Assist management with resolving POS hardware malfunctions such as printer jams and scanner connectivity
Act as a Visitor Experience Attendant and Tram driver as needed
Perform other duties as specified and needed by department management
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license for a minimum of (3) years
Must have excellent communication skills
Available to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays
Previous customer service experience desired
