General Description:
Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager, the part-time Administrative Services Clerk is responsible for the development and maintenance of a system to track vendor insurance coverages. Also serving as a purchasing backup to the Administrative Services Manager when they are away from the office. This involves processing, tracking, and filing of purchase requisitions for the purchase of equipment, services, supplies and other types of inventories needed for the daily operations of the College including off-campus Health Centers.
The PT Administrative Services Clerk will also cross-train in the Mail Room and Facilities office to act as a backup to the Mail Clerk and Administrative Services Support Staff, performing administrative duties for the Facilities and Security Departments.

Specific Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a system of tracking and verifying certificates of insurance to ensure compliance with college risk management and procurement requirements.
Assist and consult with faculty and staff on orders to be placed to meet their needs and provide requested information to resolve problems on purchases and or inquiries.
Assist in contacting outside vendors to obtain price quotations, determine status of orders, and follow up on problem areas.
Assist in obtaining specifications necessary to accomplish specific projects related to goods and services to meet user needs.
Assist in coordinating ordering and inventory levels with appropriate users, purchasing, and outside vendors.
Assist in the preparation of quote requests for assigned equipment and related supplies.
Any other duties assigned by the Administrative Services Manager.
Administrative support in peak times and in the absence of the Administrative Services Support Staff or the Mail Clerk under the direction of the Administrative Services Manager. Administrative Services Support Staff
Provide assistance to the Facilities Department when needed
Assistance in Central Duplication, copying, collating, and creating documents for faculty and staff
Administrative assistance support, filing, answering phone calls, taking messages, etc.

Provide assistance to the Mail Room when needed
Receive mail/packages, complete the mail run throughout the facility, as well as delivery and pickup of mail and packages

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Purchasing / order placement and two years administrative experience preferred. Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office Package, typing (letters, memos).
High level of discretion and confidentiality are required. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary with emphasis on customer service philosophy. Must work well independently, as well as with a diverse Campus population. Ability to handle multiple tasks and excellent organizational skills required.
Working Conditions:
Regularly required to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Members of the faculty are responsible for the instruction of the curriculum and the assessment of student learning. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Full-time faculty position with teaching responsibilities in one or a combination of the departments of foundational sciences, clinical sciences, principles of healthcare practice, integrated chiropractic therapies, or health centers. Teaching responsibilities in the health centers includes management of patient care.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Responsible to the Foundational Sciences Department Head for all aspects of the educational program. Responsible to the Dean of Clinical Education and Assistant Dean of Clinical Education for all clinical responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
The faculty consists of all individuals in the employ of Northeast College holding academic rank and engaged in instructional, scholarly and professional, or academic service activities for the College. These activities include, but are not limited to: laboratory, classroom, online, and health center instruction; work of professional librarians; course and curriculum development; research; participation in student advising, enrollment management functions, College governance; and service to one's profession.
Teaching
Each instructor is responsible for planning and presenting course material; establishing course objectives and requirements, and communicating them to students; selecting and ordering texts and supplemental materials; preparing, administering and grading papers and examinations; and assigning grades without discrimination, in accordance with the nondiscrimination policy as it appears in the College catalog.
Specific responsibilities include providing students with appropriate, current course material consistent with the overall curriculum; assuring student comprehension and competency; and providing unbiased outcome assessments.
Demonstrates mastery of the following characteristics and traits: command and analytical approach to subject matter, recognition and evaluation of variant interpretations of appropriate data, and integration of current knowledge within the field into traditionally accepted subject matter.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the field in which they are teaching from an accredited institution.
License to practice as a Doctor of Chiropractic in New York State for teaching clinical science subjects, e.g. CLS, DIA, and TCH courses.
Faculty who supervise clinical experiences must possess a license to practice in any jurisdiction where they are assigned.
A demonstrated aptitude for teaching health science students.

Work in collaboration with faculty and chairs to prepare new degree and new course proposals and modifications of curricula for both undergraduate and graduate programs and for non-credit professional instruction. Coordinate and monitor reviews through appropriate bodies such as the New York State Department of Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Serve on curriculum-related committees at the School and all-College level.
Provide leadership and support for assessment of curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities within the School, ensuring compliance with required assessment standards and periodic external reviews and accreditation.
Help ensure compliance with policies and procedures, research issues, analyze institutional data, prepare reports, make recommendations for changes in policy or procedures, and handle confidential problems that arise at the school.

DEPARTMENT: Health & Fitness Center
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
STATUS: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
Hourly rate: $16 to 16.50 per hour
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibility as a lifeguard is to prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring. Candidates must be able to ensure the safety of patrons by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. This person will need to be able to solve on-the-job issues by utilizing effective critical thinking and decision-making skills and possess the ability to work with diverse populations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your first responsibility always is to protect the well-being of each individual swimmer.
Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours.
Actively guards and scan the pool area at all times; refrains from socializing while guarding.
Communicate and enforce all Northeast College policies, procedures, and New York State of Health regulations in a personable and professional manner.
Educate patrons, inform them of the purpose, and need for rules and regulations.
Maintain watch over the pool area ensuring a secure and safe environment.
Respond quickly to all injuries, incidents, and emergencies as directed by college policy.
Administer any first aid needed by a victim of an accident.
Document any incidents and/or injuries.
Never leave the pool unattended; always lock the door when exiting the pool.
Provide a welcoming environment for all patrons.
Maintain a clean pool environment.
Complete all records and reports as required.
Attend and participate in regular in-service trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights.
Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time.
Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies through knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques.
Ability to enforce pool policies while providing a high level of customer service to students, faculty/staff, and community members.
Arrives prepared and on time for work and consistently demonstrates service excellence.
Able to assess a situation and make an informed decision independently.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
Current ARC certification
Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Knowledge of on-site protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies
Minimum of 18 years of age
Excellent communication skills

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Responsible to the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for all aspects of the chiropractic educational program. Responsible to the Director of the Long Island Campus for the educational operations at the Long Island Campus. Responsible to the Dean of Clinical Education / Assistant Dean of Clinical Education for all clinical responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
The faculty consists of all individuals in the employ of Northeast College holding academic rank and engaged in instructional, scholarly and professional, or academic service activities for the College. These activities include, but are not limited to: laboratory, classroom, online, and health center instruction; work of professional librarians; course and curriculum development; research; participation in student advising, enrollment management functions, College governance; and service to one's profession.
Teaching
Each instructor is responsible for planning and presenting course material; establishing course objectives and requirements, and communicating them to students; selecting and ordering texts and supplemental materials; preparing, administering and grading papers and examinations; and assigning grades without discrimination, in accordance with the nondiscrimination policy as it appears in the College catalog.
Specific responsibilities include providing students with appropriate, current course material consistent with the overall curriculum; assuring student comprehension and competency; and providing unbiased outcome assessments.
Demonstrates mastery of the following characteristics and traits: command and analytical approach to subject matter, recognition and evaluation of variant interpretations of appropriate data, and integration of current knowledge within the field into traditionally accepted subject matter.
Clearly explain expectations and subject matter, recognize student levels of comprehension, define objectives, summarize major points, organize material logically, and emphasize important ideas.
Encourage student participation and interaction, be sensitive to class response, deal with students ethically, allot ample time for consultation, and seek a professional rapport with student.
Motivate and academically challenge students, be dedicated to subject material and the teaching profession, display self-confidence, and communicate a sense of enthusiasm for pursuit of knowledge.
Faculty must be prepared and willing to academically assist, advise and counsel students regarding their work in classes and to recognize when a student requires professional assistance with problems of a personal or academic nature so that professional help can be obtained.
As a Faculty Clinician, adhere to policies and procedures for delivering patient care at your assigned health center site.
Research and Scholarly Activities
Activities in this area are typically project-oriented: basic science or clinical research, authorship of a book or journal article, and scholarly media productions within one's area of expertise.

Citizenship takes many forms, depending upon individual interests, and all faculty are encouraged to lend their talents to benefit the College community, the professional and/or academic community, and the local community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess earned doctorate degree with relevant qualifications and experience in the course subjects from an accredited institution.
Teaching experience at a post-secondary institution for didactic courses (preferred).
Post-Graduate training (degrees, diplomates and professional certificates) is preferred for clinical responsibilities.
NY State Licensure in good standing as a Doctor of Chiropractic is required to teach some of the curricular courses (e.g., TCH and HCA prefix).
Ongoing professional development is expected.
A demonstrated aptitude for teaching health science students.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to function in a team.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
METHODS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Yearly written evaluation of performance in the work areas of teaching, research and scholarly activities, and citizenship by the faculty supervisor in accordance with the Northeast College Faculty Handbook.
