Summary:
New York Edge is seeking a professional and highly organized person to fill the role of School Nurse at our Wyandanch District (Long Island, NY) After School Program. In this part time role, you will provide health services for students when they are at school. You will treat injuries and mild to acute sicknesses, or support students with chronic illnesses. In addition, you'll help with preventative care by educating students on how to avoid communicable diseases and having proper hygiene.
Job Type:
Part-Time- up to 15 hours a week
Salary:
$40-$45/hr
Responsibilities
Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness.
Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene.
Identifying and reporting school building safety or environmental issues which impact student or staff health to the Program Director.
Support Program Director in developing accommodations for students with an IEP/504 plan.
Documenting health services provided in accordance with NYS Nurse Practice Act.
Maintaining current pertinent health data for each student by periodic review and documentation on the individual student electronic and paper health records.
Completing student and staff accident reports as needed.
Provides staff development on health-related topics for all youth workers.

THE ROLE
New York Edge Curriculum & Instructional Technology Department is seeking a Sr. Animation Experience Designer to play a key role at New York Edge Animation Studios. The Brooklyn/Staten Island Sports League Coordinator will be the main person in charge on game-days at the game location. They will provide ongoing support to all NYE sites within this borough. Support will be provided through both in-person & virtual site visits. The Brooklyn/Staten Island Sports League Coordinator is responsible for managing a cohort of sports league assistants on game days. SUMMARY
The Brooklyn/Staten Island Sports League Coordinator will be the main person in charge on game-days at the game location. They are responsible for the overall coordination of all Brooklyn/Staten Island based New York Edge seasonal sports leagues (occurring on Saturdays) & tournaments (days vary), both in-person & virtually. They will provide ongoing support to all NYE sites within this borough. Support will be provided through both in-person & virtual site visits. The Brooklyn/Staten Island Sports League Coordinator is responsible for managing a cohort of sports league assistants on game days. Coordinate data gathered from the league registration process for all leagues & tournaments among NYE sites.
Assist in creating marketing materials related to leagues & tournaments.
Aid in securing permits for any/all event locations.
Use sports management software to coordinate, create & consistently update all league & tournament schedules, including but not limited to weekly standings.
Coordinate transportation for all participating sites, through creating weekly bus schedules.
Establish & maintain clear communication with all key parties, including but not limited to subcontractors, vendors, volunteers, parents, students and all NYE staff.
