This includes also supporting with furniture assistance as well as obtaining and maintain housing in NYC. The Housing Specialist will report directly to the Fair Futures Coach Supervisor. 1.Assist youth with the goal of APPLA locate housing by maintaining and developing a relationship with the youth 2. Complete all housing applications (NYCHA/Section 8/SH &Vouchers) T to assist youth with locating permanent housing in NYC 3. Collaborate with stakeholders & agency staff (medical/MH/ case planning) to support youth with the housing process 4. Request Furniture Grant Assistance to assist youth with obtaining furniture for their new apartment/home 5. Responsible for ensuring that all documentation is in accordance with agency/ACS/Fair Futures policy in CNNX, & Care4 database systems 6. Responsible for attending coaching as well as all agency/ACS/Fair Futures trainings in accordance with job position 7. Setting up interview/apartment viewings to support youth with making an informed decision regarding housing and housing programs 8.
