    The Sanjana Lab at the New York Genome Center and NYU's Department of Biology is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Research Assistant within a highly creative and dynamic research team of scientists, engineers, and life science entrepreneurs. Our team works on a diverse array of projects that span genomics, bioengineering, cancer biology and neuroscience. We focus on developing new genome engineering technologies to understand gene regulation, development, tumor biology and genetic drivers of disease. Recent work from the group has included in vivo and RNA-targeting CRISPR screens, pairing CRISPR perturbations with multiomic single-cell readouts, engineering T cell therapies and precise genome editors, and uncovering cis -regulatory elements in the human noncoding genome. We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to contribute to ongoing projects in genome editing, functional genomics, and cell-based neurobiology, including perturbation-based single-cell approaches.
