Ted Mathas is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of New York Life Insurance Company, the nation’s largest mutual life insurer with more than $500 billion in assets under management. The core business includes life insurance, retirement income, investment management, and long-term care insurance. New York Life is the leading provider of life insurance and income annuities in the U.S.

Mr. Mathas became Chief Executive Officer on July 1, 2008, and was named Chairman of the Board of Directors on June 1, 2009. He joined New York Life in 1995 and previously served as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, in addition to holding senior management positions in New York Life’s life insurance and annuity businesses and Agency Department. Mr. Mathas has been a director of the Company since July 2006. He was appointed to New York Life’s Executive Management Committee in June 2002.

Mr. Mathas serves on the Executive Committee of the American Council of Life Insurers, as well as the Boards of the American Museum of Natural History and the Partnership for New York City.

Mr. Mathas graduated with distinction from Stanford University with an A.B. and earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia.

Sheila Davidson is a Vice Chairman at Fairfield University; EVP, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel at New York Life; and Trustee at Fairfield University. She studied at Fairfield University and GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY.

Don Desiderato is a Senior VP/Chief Information Officer at New York Life and CTO & Senior Mng Dir:Investments Group at New York Life. He has worked as Chief Information Officer at ING Financial Services, Chief Information Officer at Prudential International Insurance Holdings Ltd, and Chief Information Officer at Ing Investments NV. Donald works or has worked at CITIGROUP INC and works or has worked as Chief Technology Officer at New York Life and Principal/Industry Analyst at Novarica. He attended Quinnipiac University.

Mr. Feldstein joins New York Life from Health Care Service Corporation, the largest mutual health insurer in the United States, where he was CFO from 2016 to 2019 with responsibility for the company’s accounting, financial planning, treasury, tax, product pricing, and procurement activities. From 2010 to 2016, he served as an Executive Vice President with American Express, where he was responsible for managing a large portfolio of global businesses with diversified sources of revenue and profits.

Mr. Feldstein began his career in finance with General Motors where he held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility. He served as Treasurer from 1997 to 2002, and subsequently served as Chief Executive Officer of GMAC Financial Services from 2002-2008, leading their worldwide enterprise including Global Auto Finance, Global Insurance, Real Estate Finance / Mortgage, and Commercial Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
