Overview of Role: The Client Reporting and Performance Associate will play a key role in preparing New York Life General Account reports (ad-hoc, daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date) and conducting reviews before reports are released to key stakeholders across the company. What You'll Do: * Prepare, review, and distribute comprehensive client reports for the New York Life General Account and its clients. Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to reporting standards. * Conduct data reviews and proactively identify discrepancies and analytical anomalies. * Coordinate with Compliance to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Federal Reserve cross-border investment reports, including TIC SLT, SHCA, and SHLA on behalf of New York Life. * Coordinate and support the SEC regulatory reporting for NYL Investors LLC including Forms 13F, 13G, and 13H under Section 13 of the Securities Exchange Act. * Provide assistance to management and portfolio managers by addressing portfolio reporting, data, and performance-related inquiries. * Collaborate with Technology and data warehouse teams to enhance reporting workflows, expand automation, strengthen data quality, and improve visualization capabilities. * Participate in regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the continued accuracy and functionality of client reports following system releases or enhancements. * Maintain a customer-focused mindset, fostering strong communication and collaboration with business partners and clients. * Apply a solution-oriented approach to recurring issues and operational challenges, identifying opportunities to reduce manual work and implement sustainable improvements. * Assist with Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses by compiling and organizing relevant investment data and materials. What You'll Bring: * Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA a plus. * 2-6 years client reporting experience with an Asset Management/Investment Advisory Firm. * Comprehensive understanding of fixed income investments, asset classes and investment measures including Yield, Duration, and Convexity. This is a challenging and high-profile role which spans the end-to-end software development cycle (SDLC) - including managing source code branches, preparing and delivering release candidate builds into testing, and working with QA, IT, trading desk strategists, and production support teams through the test cycle to sign-off, integration into consumer applications, and release. Located in New York, this role is a critical point of contact for desk strategists, technology and QA colleagues in that timezone, maintains continuity of SDLC activities in Follow the Sun model in a global release management team with colleagues in India and London. The successful candidate will also help with improving our automated build, release, integration and testing infrastructure covering the entire SDLC across several million lines of C++, Java, and Scala source code. This will include configuration of Jenkins jobs, source code management tooling, and supporting trading desk strategists' use of development environment. Most of the Fixed Income portfolio is valued and risked using these pricing and risk modelling libraries, which are used by many varied applications throughout the firm and have multiple inter-dependencies. This requires that we build the libraries in a consistent manner on multiple different platforms, and integrate them into the varied application landscape, which is itself constantly changing. Our ability to patch, test and release new functionality within hours if not minutes can be critical to our success as a business, and the successful candidate will be critical to helping us achieve this. Qualifications: * A minimum of 10-15+ years of professional experience in management consulting, strategy, transformation or a combination of consulting and financial services leadership roles. * A strong understanding of the sales and trading ecosystem - products, markets, risk management, finance and regulatory drivers. * Proven ability to lead large, complex projects and deliver measurable business impact. * Exceptional executive communication skills and comfort interacting with senior leadership. * Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop consulting teams. * Experience building or scaling an internal consulting, strategy, PMO or transformation function. * Prior roles within a top-tier consulting firm (strategy, big 4, etc), a global investment bank or asset management firm. * Project management, product development, business management, or management consulting in the financial services industry, ideally Wealth Management. * BS/BA degree required. Advanced degrees in business, finance, economics, engineering or related fields preferred. The position will be based in New York City. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
