Gustavo Dudamel will become the Philharmonic's Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Music and Artistic Director in the 2026-27 season. The New York Philharmonic seeks a Youth Choir Coordinator to support a new initiative happening in Harlem this season . The coordinator will help launch this program at The Dr. Calvin O. Butts, III Educational and Cultural Center in Harlem, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the creation of a vibrant youth development that fosters musical growth, community engagement and artistic excellence. Working closely with Philharmonic staff, teaching artists, and community partners, the coordinator will oversee audition logistics, communication with families, and day-to-day program operations. The candidate is an organized, proactive, and enthusiastic collaborator with a passion for arts education and youth development. Responsibilities: Support the student audition and recruitment process, using existing platform (JotForm). Coordinate and attend Saturday rehearsals for the program between February and May. Liaise with parents, students, coaches and partner organizations. Provide logistical support during culminating performance Attend weekly meetings with NYP staff (virtual). A commitment to contributing to an inclusive working environment is required. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Requirements: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple project simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with students, parents, teaching artists, and partner organizations.
