Preparation of documents and reports from concept design through advanced technical design documentation. Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals. Recommend ways to improve process, quality and coordination efforts. May visit job site to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site. May perform other duties as required. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED Must be enrolled in and working toward a Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering (Structural focus) from an ABET accredited program. Coursework in building systems engineering required. Concrete and steel design experience or course work is required. Masonry and wood design experience is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, RAM) preferred. The salary range for this position to be filled in the Buffalo, NY office is $21.50 to $25.50 per hour. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting.
