It also provides recovery and recycling programs, paper/plastic/metal recycling, document destruction, and e-waste recycling services; and collects, sorts, and processes waste paper, including various grades of recycled paper, cardboard, mixed papers, office paper waste, magazines, and books. The company was formerly known as The Newark Group, Inc. and changed its name to Newark Recycled Paperboard Solutions Co. in 2013. The company was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey with recovery and recycling locations in Moraine and Columbus, Ohio; Salem, Massachusetts; San Jose, California; Shreveport, Louisiana; Stockton, California; and Tallahassee, Florida. It operates paperboard mills in Santa Clara and Los Angeles, California; Mobile, Alabama; Fitchburg, Massachusetts; Baltimore, Ohio; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company also has paperboard conversion facilities in Atlanta, Texas; and York, Pennsylvania. As of February 19, 2015, Newark Recycled Paperboard Solutions Co. operates as a subsidiary of Caraustar Industries, Inc.
