Jim is an experienced business leader with experience leading start-up companies, growth oriented companies and advising companies in difficult and turnaround situations. He has held the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, VP Controller or President of industrial companies for over 25 years. Most of his CEO/President responsibilities were in publicly held companies. He also served as Controller of a Fortune 500 company, and for 9 years was on the business assurance and the merger and acquisition staffs of a Big 4 advisory firm. He was also an adviser to troubled companies for 5 years as Managing Director of a regional consulting firm.

He has long been an advocate of lean production principles and led his organization, as CEO, to be awarded first place in the coveted Shingo Award for the best middle market lean manufacturing company in the United States. Jim feels as comfortable on the plant floor as he does in a conference room.

His background includes international responsibilities and he has been responsible for operations in North America, Western Europe, China, India, Brazil, Malaysia and has conducted business in Japan and the Middle East. He is very comfortable in foreign cultures, understands the nuances of cultural differences, and can readily conduct business and consummate transactions around the world.

He has been the CFO responsible for an initial public offering (IPO), and successfully moved another company from NASDAQ to AMEX in a seamless transition. He has, as CEO, successfully moved an automotive supplier through a Chapter 11 restructuring process. He is articulate and seasoned as a communicator in large audiences or in a small meeting.



Jim values input from people and is an advocate of the “upside down pyramid” organization chart. He encourages all employees in an organization to raise suggestions and “put your hand up” with answers to problems in an effort to promote continuous improvement.
