Brand diversity and relationships with big box retailers like Target and Walmart to ensure in market product success.
Very weak HR function from top, down. HR manager, director, VPs see it as their job to partner with their functional counterparts, but not maintain a neutral, unbiased stance to protect employees from management. HR conducts “investigations” but they’re worthless and biased. HR function is just really, really weak. No performance reviews in over two years, no career planning, no skill/function standards for jobs.
CEO is an operator, turning the show around to recover dept, but innovation is suffering.
Have HR be decoupled from tangential functions, so they make decisions on employees well being and not what’s best for their own career trajectory.
It is lower than most companies.
I’m not sure about the DEI at Newell.
Working on impactful products.
Work-life balance
I did not like that the locations are primarily on the east coast. Atlanta, GA isn't a city I see myself living in.
