Job Description:
The Videographer's duties will include shooting video, conducting interviews, running a backpack live unit and using other multimedia tools to gather content for nightly newscasts, the station's news website and other online ventures. The successful candidate will be expected to function within the framework of a research-driven news department that emphasizes source cultivation, enterprise reporting and breaking news. Employee must have the flexibility to work in the modern newsroom and could be called upon to beat report, produce, web edit, etc. Hours will be Monday-Friday 4-9am.
Qualifications:
The right candidate must have a good eye for shooting, an understanding of broadcast video equipment including editing software and superior news judgment. He/she will have an appreciation for the elements that make a live television newscast more watchable. The candidate must work well under pressure, work well with other people and meet strict deadlines. This is a part-time position, scheduled weekends with flexibility required by the employee. A college degree in journalism, communication or a related field is preferred. Previous newsroom experience is a plus. The position will require operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for business use. Candidate must have a valid Missouri driver's license while driving company vehicles and pass a drug test and background check.

The Newscast Director communicates and executes all technical aspects of live production using our automated production system. * Direct live and recorded newscasts and other programs using the Grass Valley Ignite automated control room system
* Collaborate with producers, anchors, reporters, technical staff, and management to execute clean, visually compelling broadcasts
