Responsibilities Utilize available resources to gather information and troubleshoot issues as needed to assist faculty with grant submissions. Develop a strong, positive working relationship with the pre and post award team members of Old Dominion University Research Foundation. Work with PIs and ODURF team members to develop budgets for submissions, awarded projects, and grant renewals. Submit and monitor labor distributions of research staff supported by grants. Assist research faculty with ODURF procurement and HR hiring concerns. Maintain and post a grant submission/renewal calendar for major sponsors. Qualifications Required: Time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Financial understanding to review budgets developed as Excel spreadsheets. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to learn the policies and guidelines of federal, state, and internal funding opportunities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and commitment to learn relevant software and online portals: grant application portals, financial management systems and the ODURF website. Preferred: A bachelor's degree is preferred and with prior experience in an administrative role in an academic/ research environment. Location : Location US-VA-Norfolk
