Job Description * Identify carriers for available freight and negotiate competitive rates. * Build and maintain strong carrier relationships. * Answer inbound and make outbound calls to ensure outstanding customer service. * Drive operational excellence to both customer and carriers. * Manage daily load activities, resolving issues to ensure on time pick-up and delivery * Proactively resolve problems that may arise while a load is in transit. * Creative thinker who enjoys a competitive, team-based atmosphere. * Grow business with current carriers in alignment with account growth strategy plans. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements * Bachelors' degree preferred. * Previous sales experience preferred. * Truck brokerage knowledge preferred. * Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency; able to work in a fast-paced work environment with quickly changing priorities. * Works proactively and independently, with the ability to take initiative. * Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics. * Willingness to learn new information and apply knowledge to job responsibilities. Physical Demands: * Extended Sitting: Primarily desk-based with prolonged computer use. * Light Lifting: Occasional handling of objects up to 20 pounds. * Computer Use: Frequent operation of computers and office equipment, requiring manual dexterity. * Eye Strain and Repetitive Motion: Risk from continuous screen use and repetitive tasks like typing. * Office Navigation: Light walking and standing for meetings and tasks within the office.
