JOB SUMMARY: The Production Support position plays a critical support role in the Genie Reconditioning operation. This entry-level position assists with the cleaning, prepping, and movement of Genie aerial equipment as it flows through the reconditioning process. Team members will support departments such as Wash, Blast, Paint, Mechanical, and Final Assembly by performing hands-on labor tasks. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist with pressure washing, degreasing, and prepping Genie boom lifts and scissor lifts prior to blasting or painting Apply masking, protective film, or tape to protect machine components before paint or blast processes Support the movement of units and parts between workstations using carts, hoists, or forklifts (if certified) Load and unload parts, components, or equipment from delivery vehicles or staging areas Perform general shop cleaning duties such as sweeping, trash removal, and organizing tools and work areas Assist painters, mechanics, and technicians by handing off tools, staging materials, or completing prep tasks Operate basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, and other shop equipment under supervision Follow all instructions provided by team leads, supervisors, or senior technicians. Wear all required PPE (e.g., steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses) and adhere to Genie Recon's safety protocols Perform other duties and tasks, as assigned, in support of the reconditioning process Maintain better than average attendance, working overtime as needed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: High school diploma or equivalent No prior experience required - training provided High school diploma or GED preferred but not required Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Willingness to work in a physical, fast-paced industrial environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Forklift or material handling experience is a plus GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all QMS (Quality Management System) guidelines and regulations are followed All employees are required to follow and promote all company and regulatory safety and environmental standards and exhibit safe work practices at all times Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Safety Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses, etc. required at all times in warehouse environment Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and continuous quality improvement objectives Actively participate in and support the principles of Open-Book Management Possess a positive attitude and promote a positive work environment WORK ENVIRONMENT: The performance of this position requires exposure to atmospheric conditions such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. Working conditions are those of a packaging and distribution warehouse environment - long periods of standing, periodic exposure to seasonal heat and cold, noise, working with oils and grease. Work is occasionally performed in an office/desk type setting. This position is considered a safety sensitive position. Position Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process and final inspections of reconditioned Genie aerial equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and operational performance. Working closely with core receiving, disassembly, blast, wash, paint, sub assembly, and final assembly teams, this role verifies that all units meet reconditioning specifications before progressing to the next phase or being released to the customer. The Quality Inspector helps maintain a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all stages of the reconditioning process. What You Will Do: Inspect Reconditioned Equipment: Perform detailed inspections of boom lifts, scissor lifts, and components throughout the Genie Recon process-focusing on structural integrity, fit/finish, mechanical function, and operational safety. Document Nonconformances: Accurately record defects, inconsistencies, or rework requirements. Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and escalate critical issues to the Audit and Inspections Lead or QMS team. Follow Checklists & Standards: Utilize inspection checklists, SOPs, and product-specific guidelines to validate quality. Confirm that reconditioned units meet all safety and performance criteria before final release. Support Production Flow: Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure quality inspections are completed on-time without disrupting takt time or production flow. Perform Visual & Functional Tests: Conduct visual inspections, dimensional checks, and operational tests (e.g., lift, rotation, drive functions) to verify unit readiness. Assist with Root Cause Investigations: Participate in problem-solving and corrective action efforts when recurring quality issues or defects are identified. Support Operator Feedback & Coaching: Provide real-time feedback to technicians and assemblers on quality issues, promoting a shared responsibility for quality. Maintain Quality Records: Complete inspection forms, photo documentation, and digital tracking logs to ensure traceability and continuous improvement. What you will do: The Materials Specialist handles preparing and palletizing shipments to PDCs, offloading product from assembly lines and deliver to PDCs, shipping (freight and parcel), loading and offloading trucks, processing orders for shipment, pulling orders, receiving trucks, picking, putting away and combining product, and working with scanners, while ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
