Newton Medical Center Inc. was formerly known as Newton Memorial Hospital and changed its name to Newton Medical Center Inc. in May 2011. The company was founded in 1932 and is based in Newton, New Jersey with additional medical centers in Morristown, Summit, and Pompton Plains, New Jersey; and a children's hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. As of March 31, 2011, Newton Medical Center Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Atlantic Health System, Inc.
