Experience investigating serious and near miss safety events, conducting RCAs, and developing interventions to improve systems/processes as indicated. Skilled in supporting clinical staff with performance improvement publications and presentations. Proficient in delivering clinical education related to quality and safety. Required Criteria Current New York State Registered Nurse License Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Clinical experience in related specialty with progressive responsibility and accountability Demonstrated knowledge and skills in quality and patient safety methodologies and performance improvement management. Proficient in presenting clinical updates/materials to clinical staff related to quality and patient safety. Demonstrated ability to review literature and other validated sources/evidence of professional standards of care to make sure hospital policies/procedures are current. Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork amongst diverse groups; to lead and or serve as team member/departmental representative. Ability to adapt, flexible with assignment changes due to departmental needs and organizational quality and patient safety priorities.
